The Company

Mechanical Products Nevada is the largest independent HVAC and Plumbing Equipment and Solutions provider in Nevada. Our company recently celebrated its 29th year anniversary and has grown to approximately 65 employees serving the vibrant Las Vegas and Reno markets. We represent over 40 manufacturers, offering innovative systems with flexibility of equipment and solutions to best match each application. We work with industry professionals and end users from the conceptual stage of projects to provide energy efficient, valued solutions to their complex problems.


The Opportunity

Our parts department is seeking a highly motivated Accounts Manager who will perform a variety of sales and customer-oriented functions.


Essential Job Functions


  • Be responsible for the sale of parts to building owners and contractors.
  • Build and manage long-term customer relationships by demonstrating technical expertise to develop credibility, loyalty, trust and commitment. Understand the customer's business and speak their language.
  • Determine customer needs for aftermarket solutions and parts to meet ongoing repetitive solutions and parts requirements.
  • Understand and demonstrate the ability to collaboratively set, meet or exceed ongoing sales goals.
  • Actively make customers aware of and participate in product promotions.
  • Actively seek out and follow through on opportunities for Parts inventory additions, planning and growth.
  • Create accurate, competitive, high quality, and timely quotes, negotiate value and close the sale.
  • Receive and process customer orders. Place orders with manufacturers and vendors in a timely manner.
  • Manage multiple, ongoing transactions from quote to sale to delivery to invoicing.
  • Be responsible for supporting and assisting in the accounts receivable collection process.
  • Solicit support from and communicate effectively with the Parts, Equipment, Service and Accounting teams.

Responsibilities

The Required Profile

  • High School Diploma
  • 3-5 years of HVAC field sales experience
  • Strong PC skills in Microsoft 365, Word, Excel, Outlook, Online Searches and Online Ordering
  • Ability to learn and effectively use company sales, customer management, inventory, and finance tools.
  • High level of accuracy when creating quotes and processing order details
  • HVAC, Mechanical Contracting, Engineering or Construction industry experience a plus
  • Excellent initiative, and interpersonal communications skills
  • Flexibility to work occasional overtime, weekends or out-of-town travel as required.

Other Skills/Abilities

Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.

Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Mental stamina for problem solving and prioritizing multiple tasks.

Environmental Requirements
Will be required to work in a field environment, multiple customer sites daily.

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to operate the computer keyboard and telephone, reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
