Role Description
Harmonic is hiring a Sr. Sales Director, Fiber Broadband Business Development for Canada to represent Harmonic’s fiber-to-the-anything (FTTx) solution to Tier 2 & Tier 3 telecommunications companies, municipalities, and underserved communities exploring broadband services. The Sr. Sales Director will be responsible for managing customer relationships, developing the opportunity pipeline, and securing new revenue within the fiber broadband provider market. As the segment grows, the Regional Vice President will be expected to build and oversee a team to manage their region.
The ideal candidate is based in region, working remotely, and traveling to support customers and prospects frequently.
Location
Remote – this position is 100% remote for candidates within Canada.
What you will be doing:
Primary responsibilities and activities of the Sr. Sales Director, Fiber Broadband Business Development include:
- Identify, engaging, and qualifying new fiber-portfolio opportunities within the assigned territory
- Execution against revenue targets and definition of a multiyear outlook
- Managing and fostering relationships with active accounts and prospects
- Development of a business case, forecast, and plan to support resource expansion
- Communicate critical commercial and technical deliverables from the customer to the business unit
- Build a regional event list with marketing to ensure proper attendance and representation
What you should have:
- Candidates must have experience selling broadband products and associated services into the Canadian Tier 2 & Tier 3 telco market.
- Candidates with technical background on fiber to the home ecosystems, products, and terminology are preferred.
Travel
Candidates will be expected to travel up to 70% of the time for customer meetings, presentations, and events.
