Job Description
Broadway Metal Recycling is looking for a motivated, self starter Buyer that is interested in starting a career within the industry. You will be responsible for account management of suppliers to grow our Non Ferrous and Ferrous volumes, by seeking the most profitable scrap within the state and region. Core competencies include a positive attitude, ability to work under minimal supervision, dependability, superb customer service, critical thinking/problem solving, and excellent time management skills.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Purchase ferrous and non-ferrous metals from dealer and industrial accounts
- Collaborate with the Operations Department concerning the grading of material received from suppliers
- Assist in developing strategic plans for new business to generate new sources of raw material
- Visit and maintain current and potential customers such as demolition contractors, dealers, auto wreckers, construction projects, industrial accounts to generate and investigate new sources of material
- Protect and expand profit margins
- Monitor commodity market trends in conjunction with the operation's material flow to make informed purchase decisions to maximize profitability
- The employee may be assigned to special projects or required to perform other duties not listed above, which may vary from time to time as determined by management, to meet company needs
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
