Job Description
As a Residential Distributor Sales Manager, HVAC Products Sales Division, you will work in conjunction with and support of the Director of Residential Sales in overseeing the day to day operations of the residential HVAC Products Division business. Including, but not limited to, sales process management, implementation of sales initiatives and annual sales budget management. In addition, you have direct responsibility for the development and implementation of the Residential business sales and marketing strategies. The position reports to the Director of Residential Sales – HVAC Products Sales Division.
- Working with the Residential Product Manager the creation and execution of product development strategies for all HVAC product sales.
- Creation and Implementation of sales strategies and plans to grow sales in Residential product categories.
- Working with the Director of Residential Sales achieving the annual expectations of overall sales and profitability of the Residential HVAC products business as sold via distribution partners.
- For the Residential Market, research, develop and maintain a solid understanding of current market, and competitor conditions. Monitor historical information and trends to gain insight into future performance, potential gaps and unmet needs. Perform regular industry, market, consumer, and competitor and profitability analysis, revising plans accordingly and providing input into the revision of sales and marketing strategies, where applicable.
- Working with the Director of Residential Sales develop and manage the sales budget for the residential business unit including annual sales and marketing activities, campaigns, special projects, promotions, customer trips and other initiatives.
- Develop and grow the residential sales force and establish sales monitoring and reporting.
- Create programs for sales training across Residential HVAC product lines. Liaise with Factories regarding residential product technical performance requirement participating in factory team meetings when required and in coordination with the Product team
- Working with the residential product manager to successfully conclude residential service issues with our sales channel partners consisting of distributors, contractors, distributors and engineers.
- Complete and submit to Director of Residential Sales monthly report of sales, pipeline, key market developments, jobs won/lost, factory interactions, new product development initiatives, personnel performance and any significant product service issues.
- Work independently and in conjunction with our distributor partners and MESCA regional residential sales team representatives to meet the sales, growth and profitability targets of our commercial HVAC products in the region.
- Maintain a thorough and accurate understanding of the market, customers and competitive activities in the regions served by our distribution partners related to our product segments and the general residential HVAC industry.
- Working with the MESCA residential sales team build solid long-term relationships with existing residential dealers, building owners, developers and the consulting engineering community, promoting product quality and application to secure their commitment to our product.
- Manage residential sales team personnel, coaching, mentoring, establishing and reviewing performance objectives.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or equivalent industry experience
- Minimum 10 years of experience in sales related role within the HVAC industry.
- Advanced interpersonal, communication, sales and people management skills.
- A strong technical knowledge of heating and air-conditioning systems. Experience with residential systems and DX Split System technology is a definite asset.
- Demonstrated ability and experience to effectively execute the key responsibilities of the position.
