FANUC America Corporation (FAC) provides the most complete range of industry-leading robotics, CNC and motion control systems, and ROBODRILL machining centers. Our innovative technologies and proven expertise help manufacturers in the Americas to be more efficient, reliable and profitable. We are currently searching for a dynamic, Sales and Support Specialist for Japanese OEM Accounts in America to provide and identify sales opportunities for North American Japanese automotive manufacturers. This position will help FANUC America grow sales by building relationships with Japanese customers that influence validation and acceptance of paint shop automation.

This position requires building relationships with key Japanese automotive customer technical team members to position FANUC America as their preferred paint robot supplier in the America s. This will include reviews of technical specifications and customer expectations with communication in reading, writing, and speaking in Japanese language needed to identify key customer influences needed to grow sales.

Primary responsibilities will include:

  • Cooperation with the internal team to understand and represent benefits to customers
  • Participation in meetings, demonstrations, and introductions of new technology to Japanese customers
  • Research into new mobility OEM plans, publications, funding, and manufacturing partners
  • Collaboration with internal team to establish a clear sales strategy for sales approach to customers
  • Develop proposals focused on customer expectations and specifications
  • Network with alliance/integrator partners to grow sales and information relative to customer
  • Japanese OEM will require interfacing with other FANUC groups in Japan, Europe and China
  • Lead the sales process with strong collaboration of other FANUC Organizations in Japan, Europe, and China to promote global benefits
  • Interact with customers on a regular basis leveraging social media or internet communications methods used by new mobility customers
  • Maintain strong knowledge and keep up to date on FANUC product information and paint shop automation solutions
  • Provide reports on sales activities as defined and required
  • Ability to travel to remote sites in a timely fashion to meet customer requirements

Ideal candidate will have the following experience and education:

  • Bachelor s degree in engineering or business related field or equivalent relevant experience
  • Experience with knowledge of automotive paint applications and systems
  • Minimum 3 years capital equipment sales experience preferred
  • Minimum 3 years paint shop automation experience preferred
  • Efficient in using computerized business systems such as power point, internet tools, video
  • Knowledge of FAC operational procedures, products and base systems preferred
