Job Description:
The Associate Director of Program Management is responsible for assisting with new program development and management of existing programs for online degrees, courses, micro-credentials, stackable certificates, and other innovative online learning product lines. This highly collaborative position works with internal stakeholders within Online & Continuing Education and external stakeholders in the LSU system-wide community in order to identify, develop, launch and manage these learning experiences. The position stays abreast of all higher trends and marketplace data in order to inform and advise stakeholders on strategic decision making for the strength of the programs managed in the LSU Online portfolio.
Job Responsibilities:
Executes the strategic vision set by the AVP and institution for a healthy online degree portfolio. This includes working with academic departments to facilitate online degree program launches across all campuses in the LSU system. Conducts periodic performance analyses of launched programs and tuition reviews in order to optimize the performance of all programs in the online portfolio. Assesses market research both within higher education and outside of higher education (including corporate training segments and best practices from learning within a variety of environments) to promote and maintain online learning pathways with high potential for positive career outcomes for learners. 35%
Builds relationships with internal and external stakeholders while representing the department in a professional, enthusiastic manner with a customer service and team focus. Initiates regular cadence of outreach with all stakeholders to create optimal partnership collaboration. 25%
Promotes and executes the stackable portfolio approach for online learning experience which includes the proposal of stackable learning experiences such as certificates and micro-credentials, and the inclusion of prior learning assessment opportunities for these experiences. Collaborates closely with Continuing Education to build fluid learner pathways between credit and non-credit experiences. 20%
Initiates and maintains organizational systems and operational approaches that support and advance LSU Online programs; identifies continuous opportunities for improvement of online program management processes. 15%

Additional Requirements:
Vehicle Operation - University employees whose principal responsibilities of employment include operating a vehicle, performing maintenance on a vehicle, or supervising any public employee who operates or maintains a vehicle and positions with an expectation to travel will require an MVR and are subject to drug screens per PM-33/PS-67/FASOP HR-04.
Operation Essential Personnel - This position may be asked to work during an official closure, but who is otherwise not required to report to the physical campus during a closure and whose absence does not present a risk to the safety, resources, and well-being of the campus per FASOP HR-01.
Additional Information:
Some night and weekend hours may be required. Driving may be required.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience in higher education or account management.
Minimum Certifications/Licenses: Valid Driver's License
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree with 3-5 years experience in higher education online program development and management.
