The Post-Acute Account Manager is responsible for proactively managing existing post-acute accounts as well as selling new quality post-acute programs. The person in this role is also responsible for establishing and maintaining contiguous relationships with the Medical Directors, Providers, Collaborators, and Post-Acute facilities within their assigned territory.
All Healogics employees must perform their job responsibilities according to all Healogics policies, Hospital policies, as well as to accrediting organizations, federal and state regulation, and to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) guidelines, as applicable.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
Proactively develop new and existing client relationships within the Post-Acute facilities within the identified territory
Manage contract renewals and ensure service and clinical outcomes meet the commitment
Sell new contracts to various groupings of decision-makers and promote brand awareness and wound care awareness by participating in designated Community Education activities.
Increase market share within existing group of accounts
Schedule meetings with the Post-Acute Administrators as required to ensure we are meeting commitments, delivering appropriate levels of quality care to Post-Acute patients and providing excellent customer service
Hold critical conversations with Post-Acute Administration to ensure maximum efficiency for
Healogics Providers and the best clinical outcomes
Work directly with the RVPPAC or SPAAM and facility leadership to ensure contract expectations are being met.
Schedule kick off meeting for new Post-Acute facilities in conjunction with SPAAM, SNFDCO and RVPPAC.
Create and coordinate activities directed toward contracting with new Post-Acute Facilities such as potential sales visits, delivering contracts, and meeting with facility leadership.
Performing Community Education Visits with local practitioners who provide care for patients with chronic wounds.
Collaborate and Coordinate with all providers in the patients care continuum, both internal and external stakeholders
Individuals in this role who are also nurses may be cross trained on essential SNF Director of Clinical Operations duties to assist with provider training and quality review. The intent is to be a back-up as needed and not take on those responsibilities for lengthy periods of time.
Required Education, Experience and Credentials:
Associate degree required; Bachelor’s Degree with a specialization in Business Administration, Marketing or Public Relations preferred
Minimum four (4) to six (6) years of related experience in medical sales/marketing in the healthcare industry
Minimum of (1) one year experience in medical sales and/or hospital public relations; RN or LPN experience in a skill nursing or post-acute care setting preferred
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- This is a remote position with a 50% traveling requirement.
Compelling sales approach to establish and retain relationships
Exceptional communication and listening skills and the ability to adapt communication style to different audiences
Understanding of hospital infrastructure, population management, protocols and the value chain: IP, SNFs and LTACH
Experience in arranging visits to physicians and interfacing with those physicians, their nurses, front office personnel for the purpose of ensuring wound care program visibility for the Post-Acute facilities
Knowledge and experience with CRM, understanding pipeline management and embracing the sales process with formal frameworks Demonstrated knowledge of healthcare operations - discharge planning and referral processes
Self-starter, self-motivated and results oriented
Team player, experienced in working as part of a cross-functional model
Proficient in Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access database management
Ability to swiftly react to customer feedback and requests
Flexible, adaptable, and assertive
Excellent organizational, time management and prioritization skills
Ability to develop and execute proactive work plans
