We are seeking an experienced Vice President of Service Salesto become an integral part of our MECHANICALSERVICE/SALES division at MJ Daly, LLC. This individual will be responsible for profitably growing our service agreement and quoted work portfolio to plan levels. The SALES ACCOUNT MANAGER will be productive utilizing standard department processes by focusing on customer and employee satisfaction. This candidate will work with operations and management to estimate and propose HVAC service work that lines up with the company vision and financial objectives. This individual seeks new customer growth through proven, effective sales methods focused on profitability. The end result is a team-oriented, customer-satisfaction driven, profitable service sales department. This position is located in Waterbury, CT.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage sales operations to ensure that all aspects of quoting, proposing ,prospecting and procurement to meet or exceed company
  • Hire, Train, and Manage Service Account Managers and Service Management support for optimum market and account coverage.
  • Responsible for functional leadership of CRM platform—business processes/rules, user interface modifications and reports to ensure maximum process efficiency and maximum business insight. Institutionalize standard work through developing and enforcing functional user training (how-to and why)
  • Utilizing business intelligence systems, identify and implement the margin policy/ territory coverage/ sales skills improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness of the sales team within conventional commercial and industrial opportunities.
  • Maintain a sales pipeline enabling a close rate achieving budgeted revenue targets.
  • Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
  • Maintain day to day communication with finance/operations peers and leadership team to empower cross-functional preparedness & cooperation
  • Identify prospects in key vertical markets and develop appropriate forecasts with sales team.
  • Establish department metrics/guidelines for associate time allocation, and set goals accordingly.
  • Work with marketing to develop prospecting campaigns and promotions to generate new business.
  • Creatively identify opportunities beyond our traditional account base
  • Understand technical product features and benefits and be able to present them effectively
  • Develop and negotiate new business opportunities that maximize profitability and account engagement
  • Use your consultative selling abilities to discern new product and business opportunities
  • Work closely with Operations to ensure we do things on time and profitably
  • Communicate a clear message to motivate and enhance performance of the team
  • Understand the marketplace and identify opportunities for future growth

Qualifications:


  • Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills to communicate with internal staff, customers, vendors, and subcontractors
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team
  • Strong ability to manage customer accounts successfully
  • Demonstrated pleasant, friendly demeanor
  • Mechanical aptitude required

Minimum Requirements:


  • Two (2) years of experience in HVAC service, installation, or sales
  • Bachelor’s degree in sales preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proficiency in CRM software preferred
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and an operating vehicle
  • Ability to travel locally (automobile)
