Ontario One Call acts as the communications link between buried infrastructure owners (our members) and individuals who are planning to dig in the province of Ontario. In 2012, the Ontario Underground Infrastructure Notification System Act was passed, which stipulates that by law, anyone in the province of Ontario must contact Ontario One Call before they dig. In addition to our contact centre, we are also responsible for public education, industry outreach, and compliance.
As a Public Safety Administrative Authority, Ontario One Call is focused on guiding construction, underground infrastructure, and excavation industries towards creating efficiencies and improvements across the province. Ontario One Call is a not-for-profit governed by a Board of Directors comprised of underground infrastructure owners, excavators, and ministry appointees.

Co-op Data Reporting Analyst
Reporting to the Sr. Manager Information Management and Reporting, the Data Reporting Analyst will drive data-driven decision-making within OOC by leveraging data analytics techniques. The Data Reporting Analyst will be responsible for assisting in designing, building, and deploying comprehensive reporting and analysis solutions. This position requires a basic understanding of data analytics, databases, along with the ability to provide technical expertise to data analysts and other stakeholders.
They are located at the Head Office in Guelph with the opportunity to work a hybrid model of splitting their time between work and the office as per company policy.
Please note that this position is for current students only. We are currently recruiting for this open position for the Winter 2025 term, set to start on January 6, 2025.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist in gathering data from various sources, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Help in creating and maintaining standard and ad-hoc reports, including performance dashboards and business insights.
- Verify the accuracy and consistency of reports and data outputs.
- Identify trends and patterns in complex data sets and provide actionable recommendations to stakeholders.
- Create and maintain dashboards and visualizations for data-driven decision-making.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and solve complex business problems using data analysis.
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with data analysis tools and software such as Excel, SQL, Power BI, or similar.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
- Communication: Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Time Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to identify and correct errors in data.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Education & Experience:
- Education: Pursuing a degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) and M, as well as experience with data visualization in Power BI.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience with data analysis or reporting is a plus.
- Knowledge of statistical methods
