Job Description

In your role as a Commercial Sales Coordinator for The North West Company (NWC), you are responsible for coordinating the day-to-day administration activities to streamline the quoting and ordering processes. You will provide support to the sales team and ensure the smooth execution of sales operations within a company.

Your Role:
  • Responsible for responding and preparing quote requests sent in by Northern Stores and or directly by customers including freight directly to specified locations.
  • Sourcing product through numerous suppliers and vendors for quotes on product.
  • Creating purchase orders and shipping labels for direct vendor shipments into communities.
  • Creating Retek PO numbers and warehouse requisition requests.
  • Communicating with the transportation division to make logistical decisions based on the specific quotation.
  • Processing approved sales to be captured on a monthly basis, review with Inventory management quarterly.
  • Generating invoices to be distributed back to sales representatives for furtherance to customers
  • Creating Marketing requests for seasonal promotional programs.
  • Create and distribute a variety of documents including agendas, correspondence, emails and meeting minutes.
Desired Skills & Experience:
  • Post-Secondary Degree preferred, but not required;
  • A minimum of 3 years administrative experience.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office suite, and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent time management, multitasking and organizational capabilities.
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to provide superior customer service.
  • Must have a demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
