Purpose of the Position:
To strategically manage and grow the assigned territory by effectively promoting, selling, and supporting Permobil's complex rehab and assistive technology products, ensuring a significant business and financial impact.
Key Responsibilities:
· Strategic Sales Execution: Develop and implement a robust sales strategy aligned with company goals, driving significant business impact. This involves building, developing, and maintaining strong relationships with both internal teams and external clients, understanding client needs, and proposing tailored solutions to create demand.
· Demo Inventory Management: Responsible for overseeing the demo inventory at various referral and customer locations within the territory. This includes ensuring the availability, proper use, and optimal allocation of demo units to support sales objectives, while effectively managing related expenses to maintain fiscal responsibility in the territory.
· Sales Analysis and Planning: Continuously analyze sales trends within the territory, providing regular reports and planning sales activities based on these insights to meet or exceed sales targets.
· Customer Relationship Management: Maintain regular contact with existing clients to strengthen relationships, ensure satisfaction with our products and services, and implement creative marketing initiatives for core business growth.
· Prospect Engagement: Identify and engage with potential customers, employing innovative strategies to convert them from competitors to Permobil customers.
· Market and Product Expertise: Stay abreast of industry developments, products, technologies, and competitive activities, and leverage this knowledge in sales strategies and tactics.
· Policy Implementation: Ensure thorough knowledge and application of company policies and procedures within the territory. This includes the company vehicle policy.
· Event Participation: Represent the company at trade shows and meetings, as required.
· Sales Support and Collaboration: Utilize approved sales collateral for promotional needs and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to meet territorial objectives.
· Administrative Excellence: Ensure all administrative tasks, including paperwork, are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
Education Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, Technical Discipline, or a related area is preferred.
ATP, OT, or PT license is an advantage.
Required Knowledge/Skills:
· Prior experience in the medical device field, preferably in complex rehab/assistive technology.
· Strong analytical skills with an emphasis on data analysis, evaluation, and problem-solving.
· Deep understanding of customer needs to influence and guide strategic decisions.
· Experience in conducting multiple referral calls daily.
· Proven skills in business planning, consulting, and territory financial analysis.
· Exceptional interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and consultative sales skills.
· Ability to make informed decisions within established guidelines.
Experience Required:
· Minimum of 3 years of field sales experience, or at least 1 year in the complex rehab/assistive technology industry.
· Prior experience in sales management, market development, marketing, training, or technical services is beneficial.
Salary: $62,000 - $72,000 annually
Commission: Ability to earn $40,000 - $70,000 annually
Vacation or PTO: During initial year of employment: Up to 80 hours of vacation, which will be prorated based upon start date. After initial year of employment, earn 136 vacation hours.
Sick Time: Following 90 days of employment, employees will have access to 48 hours of sick time, unless a greater amount is required by state or local law, which will renew each calendar year.
