Job Description

We are seeking a Plastics Industrial Account Manager in the Midwest to manage commercial activities at existing and new customers to satisfy corporate mid-term and long-term growth objectives. You will be Identifying and developing new accounts and applications in designated markets and will communicate and coordinate business development. Job Tasks

  • Manage all business with key non-automotive customers
  • Increase sales according to plan at current customers and prospects
  • Identify all customer requirements and needs and expand sales according to plan
  • Identify future customer requirements and ways to add value and help customers
  • Create value package for customer and leverage value for profitable growth
  • Develop contacts with customers at all functions and levels including purchasing, production, logistics, marketing, sales, research and development and technical service
  • Develop full understanding of Asahi Plastics products to participate and conduct technical and marketing presentations at customers meetings
  • Balance short-term and long-term objectives effectively within segment to delivery year over year growth
  • Responsible for profit and loss of managed accounts

Qualifications (Education, Experience, Licensures, and Certifications)

  • BS in engineering or business with at least 2 years' experience in plastics, market development, application development

Required Skills

  • MS Office
  • Ability to forecast and manage potential barriers and obstacles in maintaining progress towards set objectives
  • Drive multiple programs concurrently and prioritize time effectively to maintain focus on new growth for Asahi Kasei Plastics
  • Professional sales experience
  • Negotiation skills
  • Plastics Experience: Tool design, part design, material processing preferred

Work Environment / Physical Demands / Travel

  • Required ability to travel up to 50% of the time
  • Geographic focus is Midwest USA
  • Office environment, remote home office
  • Sits, walks, stands, lifts occasionally
