Job Summary
The Talent Specialist will play a strategic role in building our client's employer brand, attracting top talent, and partnering with leadership to propel our client's growth. Responsible for full life-cycle recruitment of caregivers and clinicians including onboarding and orientation. Collaborate with Staffing Coordinators and implement Caregiver retention and engagement strategies through training and development activities. Compiles and maintains recruitment and applicant records according to company policies.
Under the supervision of the Director of Operations,
- Craft a Compelling Employer Brand: Develop and implement creative strategies to showcase our client's culture and mission, attracting the best and brightest caregivers in Austin.
- Think Strategically, Source Relentlessly: Identify high-potential candidates using a variety of sourcing techniques, ensuring a diverse and qualified talent pipeline.
- Partner for Success: Build strong relationships with the staffing and leadership team, understanding their needs and exceeding expectations when it comes to filling roles.
- Find the A-Team: Become an expert in attracting top talent through effective outreach and a compelling candidate experiences.
- Engage the A – Team: After leading the recruitment process from start to finish, ensuring a smooth and positive onboarding experience and partner with staffing to retain the team through an engaging and ongoing employee development experience.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full life cycle recruiting process for our client to include developing recruiting strategies, candidate sourcing, screening, assessments, interviewing, background checks, selection, negotiation by partnering with Staffing Coordinators and Leadership to present top candidates in a timely manner
- Forecast staffing needs in line with company objectives with a focus on Caregivers
- Create a dynamic playbook of recruitment strategies and manage candidate pipelines by leveraging applicant tracking systems to post jobs and respond to candidates with professional and prompt communication
- Lead employment brand initiatives in line with full-cycle recruiting, assisting in employment retention and positive employee experience
- Manage employment offers and negotiation
- Onboard and conduct employee conversations and surveys
- Use metrics to create reports, tracking success rates and develop plan of action for needed improvement
- Effective use of HRIS Recruitment and Onboarding platform, initiating changes to increase functionality and candidate user experience
- Conduct orientation of new hires and ensure accurate completion of required paperwork
- Partner with Staffing Team to match qualified caregivers with clients based on client needs and preferences
- Partner with Staffing Team to manage caregiver training in accordance with annual training compliance
- Active and ongoing engagement with Community Organizations, Colleges, Vocational Programs, ESL and Adult education programs, Job Fair entities, Employment Centers, Community Centers, Religious Institutions and other Outside Vendors
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Will demonstrate effective written and verbal communication.
- Will read, write, and comprehend English.
- Valid driver’s license and car insurance
- Excellent interpersonal skills with candidates, colleagues, community leaders, policymakers, and others
- Excellent time management skills; organized and able to prioritize
- Self-directed and able to work without supervision
- Empathetic and supportive with mentorship and leadership skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products, ATS / HRIS systems, social media, and job boards5-7 years working in an HR role, with full-cycle recruitment experience
- Ability to gather job details to understand needs and qualifications for a variety of roles
- Excellent communicator, well organized, forward-thinking mindset
- Strategic thinking with experience working with Leadership Team
- Works well in a team environment with a sense of urgency and emphasis on efficiency
- Will lift, bend, and squat the level and amount determined by each job assigned.
- Interest working within a home health care environment and supporting our client's mission and values
Work Environment
- Hybrid arrangement with 2 days in the office
- Some local (Austin, San Antonio, Houston) travel for recruitment efforts and community connections
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
