Job Description
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Responsible for support of Greater Indianapolis office which includes Proposal Drawings, Customer Site Visits, Project Pricing Estimates, Project Management and General Support of Sales and Engineering Efforts. This is viewed as an entry level position to eventually transition into an outside sales role assuming a good mutual fit.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Serve our customers, make them feel valued. Without our customers we do not have a job! Open lines of communication, keep them informed with project status.
- Work with Sales Engineer to gather project information from customers through site visits, phone conversations and electronic communication.
- Generate proposal drawings using HyCAD or appropriate CAD software to communicate our design to customer
- Work with subcontractors to estimate total costs for proposals
- Prepare Master Estimate Sheets for proposals showing all project costs
- Construct well written Objective Based Sales proposal documents that clearly states our scope of work to customer including drawings and diagrams as appropriate.
- Manages Projects to maintain Project Schedules, Time Lines, Cost and to and valued engineering as needed.
- Assist in bringing projects in at cost or below by efficient project engineering.
- Coordinate with Suppliers, Subcontractors, Mechanical installation and Electrical installation crews.
- Order/Purchase Mechanical equipment, Electrical equipment and any ancillary equipment required for any given application.
- Generate equipment Bill of Material (BOM) for Manufacturer for quotes and ordering of equipment.
- Interact with equipment vendors and suppliers to coordinate custom equipment requests
- Drawing and Layout details of systems and components for system projects in (AutoCAD)
- Generation of Project Schedules.
- Coordinating with sales team member(s) on projects, quoting of equipment, required site visits, and ongoing projects.
- Coordinate sales efforts with CSI Systems Group on larger system type projects.
- Travel to job site as required or necessary.
- Communicate with dealers and end users as necessary with timely periodic updates on project status/progress. Ability to head off and squelch small issues before they fester and turn into big problems for the project.
- Integration of all equipment for smooth system operation per application
- Prepare and place purchase order requests for equipment and installation
- Able to interpret system design for optimal systems integration in order to provide alternative system design for better process flow.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Back up customer service, sales, parts department with incoming calls, as needed.
- Take sales calls
- Assist on entering orders for outside sales team, as needed
- Ability to generate quotes and/or proposals for customer service, sales and parts department.

- Specify and order equipment required for system implementation
- Competently make decisions in regards to small equipment changes with the Manufacturer
- Understanding application of equipment in order to identify and resolve any system obstacles.
- Choosing of vendors and installers for projects.
- Job tasks, correctly performed, impact indirectly on cost containment, efficiency, profitability or operations.
- Ability to efficiently manage time, priorities and tasks to ensure we are best serving our customers.
TECHNICAL/COMPUTER SKILLS
- Required Computer Skills: Excel, Word, Outlook, Internet
- Proficient user of presentation tools (MS PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of AutoCAD a plus
- Ability and Desire to Learn!
MATH SKILLS/REASONING ABILITY
Strong mathematical skills and reasoning ability required
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience
- 1 - 3 years' of experience as a project coordinator, project engineer, or project manager
- Strong experience in AutoCad and Microsoft Office Suite
- Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices and performance standards

ENVIRONMENTAL/PHYSICAL FACTORS
This position works approximately 50% in a home office and 50% visits to customer facilities.
This position requires, at times, to work in a warehouse environment.
This position requires ability to lift 25 lbs.
