Position Objective:

The Account Manager takes a proactive approach in overseeing client relationships and drives growth within our protein bar and healthy snack offerings. This role involves managing ongoing client sales, order processing, production timelines, project execution, and ensures that the client receives the best experience possible. The Account Manager works closely with clients to understand their needs, ensuring that every project aligns with quality and timeline expectations while fostering long-term partnerships. Additionally, this role will handle small inbound leads, turning them into valuable accounts that contribute to YouBar’s growth. The Account Manager reports to the CIO and works closely with R&D, Production, QA, Accounting and Supply Chain Teams

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure that all needs are understood and addressed
  • Proactively identify opportunities for sales growth within current accounts
  • Oversee and manage production timelines, coordinating with internal departments to ensure that product delivery meets quality standards and client expectations
  • Manage small inbound leads, qualifying and nurturing them to build a consistent pipeline for new business.
  • Provide regular updates to clients regarding project progress, addressing any issues promptly and adjusting plans as needed
  • Stay informed about industry trends, particularly within the healthy snack and protein bar markets, and offer insights that could benefit clients.
  • Builds up detailed knowledge about the company's products.
  • Onboards new clients and maintains new client documents including Manufacturing Service Agreements.
  • Meets customer needs, offers options, resolves problems, (if need be, coordinate with QA department). Always following up with customers in a timely manner.
  • Manages and grows existing accounts.
  • Monitoring client inventory and suggesting reorders.
  • Taking orders and writing invoices for these order.
  • Monitor the Production Schedule and the Production Calendar.
  • Communicate postproduction updates with clients.
  • Communicate and follow YouBar’s Food Safety Commitment practices.

Job Qualifications/Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in account management or sales within the food manufacturing industry, preferably in the healthy snacks or protein bar sector
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and timelines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Knowledge of the co-manufacturing process and a general understanding of production timelines in the food industry.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to provide highest quality of service
  • Maintain excellent attention to detail in a fast pace changing work environment
  • Excellent accounting skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Service oriented
  • Working knowledge of QuickBooks and Excel.
  • Ability to thrive while collaborating with colleagues and clients
  • Ability to adapt to changing production schedule
  • Ability to work in an environment with exposure to sea food, crustaceans, peanuts, tree nuts, soy, milk, eggs, whey, and sesame without incident

Pay: From $75,000.00 per year
