Job Description
Lindsey Business Group is an HR Outsource firm seeking an Employee Benefits Account Executive for our insurance division to service clients ranging from small to 500 employees. This position will combine client-facing and administrative duties. Successful candidates will be expected to manage and advise employee benefit clients during renewal, and throughout the plan year, including program analysis and recommendations. Successful candidates will also be engaged in the preparing and presenting of benefit plan proposals, onboarding new clients, managing day-to-day service and administration of plans, procuring, and negotiating renewals and facilitating open enrollment meetings. This position is suited for someone who has served in an account management or account executive role in the up to 500 employee market. You will be expected to work closely with clients, vendors, and other members of the Lindsey Business Group HR and benefits team. Candidates will also demonstrate a high level of motivation, superb work ethic, strong collaborating and team working skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as primary liaison for the client, strengthening the broker/client relationship and involving other parties as needed
- Ensure proper resources from within the organization are involved with the client and introduce new products through the other core business groups, where appropriate
- Manage and advise on employee benefit renewal and Open Enrollment processes with clients
- Conduct Open Enrolment meetings
- Grows assigned book through rounding out of accounts
- Identify client needs and coordinate appropriate resources to address
- Plan for proper enrollment, directing all necessary parties as needed
- Ensure adequate resolution of client billing, claims and eligibility issues
- Generate various communication documents for clients
- Ensure that all service commitments are met
- Remain current on industry trends and information, new product development, legislation, coverages, and technology
- Assist the marketing team as needed
- Meet requirements for licensing as directed by management
- Ensure compliance with government agencies and corporate policies and procedures
- Attend training sessions, courses, etc. to maintain up-to-date skills
- Proactively manage day-to-day service issues and concerns
- Foresight and knowledge to identify potential issues and provide solutions based on specific client situations
- Maintain organized electronic client files and system for project management
- Responsible for scheduling, preparing, and leading all client meetings
- Ability to clearly explain complex strategies, compliance and policy benefits to individuals, C-suite executives, and business owners
- Conduct benefit program analyses and present recommendations to senior level executives
- Manage and conduct Open Enrollment meetings
- Vendor/Carrier Evaluation and Management
- Maintain relationships with various insurers while staying current on new vendor capabilities and products
- Lead development of the business segment, leveraging technology and identifying key partners, activities, resources, value proposition, products and services and policies and procedures.
- Support business development team in meeting sales and profitability goals
Desired Responsibilities:
- Active Virginia Life & Health License, required
- 5+ years’ experience in Employee Benefits industry, required (Brokerage Experience Preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent years of experience
- Expert knowledge of corporate health and welfare plans for groups up to 500 lives
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, required
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills, required
- Professional with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Mid to Large group self-funded experience, preferred
- Working knowledge of benefits administration systems
- Up to date on industry legislative, tax, and market updates
- Ability to understand client needs and deliver solutions based on technical knowledge

Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
