Job summary
The Account Manager will support Great Lakes General Agency’s (GLGA) Boise, Idaho underwriting team by providing insurance customer service through pre-quote activities and post-sale management of accounts and relationships. Our ideal candidate is a collaborative, service-oriented insurance professional who thrives in a rapid-paced setting. We are open to less experienced candidates who are quick learners and can grow into this role.
*This position must report daily to the Boise office. However, we will consider remote candidates who are in Mountain Time.
Duties/responsibilities
· Assist underwriters with rating, quotes, binders, policy issuance and file maintenance
· Process and invoice endorsements within processing standards
· Review applications and other policy-related documents for accuracy
· Coordinate with insurance companies to provide them with necessary pre-quote information and policy documentation
· Follow up with producers for outstanding information in a timely manner
· Handle customer service inquiries from agents and insurance companies, while striving to maintain a service reputation that is recognized as superior in the industry
· Assist with miscellaneous projects to support the team
· Perform other duties as assigned
Education & experience
· 3+ years of commercial insurance customer service experience
· High school diploma / equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred
Required skills / abilities
· Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities; ability to learn and follow set procedures to ensure efficient, timely and accurate processing of transactions
· Helpful, positive attitude with both internal and external customers while working in a fast-paced environment
· Teamwork and collaboration, strong customer service, attention to detail and interpersonal skills
· Experience working with PCs and office software such as Microsoft Word, Excel and web-based internet tools
Work environment & physical requirements
· Position is in an indoors office environment with low-to-moderate noise level, with prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working/typing on a computer
· The position requires the individual to frequently talk on the phone and involves repetitive work with a computer keyboard and phone. Vision requirements include close work and the ability to focus.
· Light physical effort/lifting required; must be able to lift up to 20 pounds
· Requires regular and predictable attendance to meet customer service expectations
· Individual must report daily to the Boise, ID office; remote candidates in Mountain Time considered
Expected hours
· Monday-Friday daytime schedule
· Typically requires overnight travel less than 15% of the time

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $47,075.34 - $56,692.88 per year
