Job Description
The position involves working in an customer service and inside sales capacity for a growing wholesale Asian food import and distribution company with 38 years of history in the growing market for Asian foods.
You will be required to:
1) Handle customer service duties, including processing orders, answering customer phone calls, responding to product inquiries, and sending invoices.
2) Call potential accounts daily to introduce company products, update pricing, and get new sales orders
3) Cold call and discover new prospects through online and published sources
4) Aggressively follow-up on existing accounts, new account leads, and inactive accounts.
5) Answer inbound phone calls and take orders for company accounts.
5) Help outside sales team with orders and customers when they are traveling.
5) Be responsible for maintaining and servicing your own accounts and reaching annual sales targets
6) Independently manage a constant pipeline of prospective accounts through the sales process.
This position may evolve into a full time sales position if the candidate is successful at getting their own customer accounts and is able to become proficient in the company's products and selling process.
Sales Representatives will report directly to the general manager.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate should have:
- A minimum of 3 years of sales or customer service in a wholesale food distribution environment or supermarket operations environment.
- A strong work ethic and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Fluent in English. Mandarin Chinese and/or Cantonese a big plus.
- Strong background in computers and in using Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
