JOB DESCRIPTION

TITLE: Director, National Sales

DEPARTMENT: National Sales

REPORTS TO: Sr. VP National Sales

FLSA: Full Time, Exempt

BASIC FUNCTION: Build and expand the national client base in both long form and short form for Ministry, DR and General Market clients on our national networks and in the local markets. This includes research, identifying prospects, creating presentations, closing deals and maintaining those relationships while consistently developing new clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Sell national long form annual ministry programs across all of our television platforms.
  • Sell national long form OTO and DR quarterly programs across all of our television platforms.
  • Sell national short form DR and General Market commercial time across all of our television platforms.
  • Work with National Sales Manager on pricing and overall goals and objectives of the team.
  • Work with our national research team to identify the strengths of our Family networks.
  • Collect additional research and audience demographics for network comparisons from various sources.
  • Create presentations and One Sheets specifically targeting individual clients and agencies.
  • Attain personal monthly, quarterly and annual sales goals.
  • Enter and edit customer information into Wide Orbit for the FBC stations.
  • Enter and maintain all FBC contracts in Wide Orbit.
  • Submit all FETV and FMC contracts for approval and processing.
  • Submit all programming information, schedules and traffic in a timely manner.
  • Check and maintain client aging to keep all balances current.
  • Be available and participate in the weekly Zoom Call with the FETV/FMC Team in New York City.
  • Be available and participate in the monthly Manager’s Call for WHT and FBC stations.
  • Prepare and maintain client and prospect lists with contact information.
  • Attend and participate in national conventions including NRB annually.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • 5+ years of previous sales experience in television.
  • Highly motivated individual with exceptional organizational and project management skills.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and have ability to overcome rejections
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with strong ability to effectively communicate to a wide and diverse audience.
  • Excellent time management, customer service and communication skills.
  • Experience in Wide Orbit, PowerPoint, Excel, and strong computer skills.
  • Excellent listening skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
