Salary: On-Target-Earning (OTE) includes a starting COMPETITIVE base range of $75,000 - $146,000; it could be higher depending on individual effort and contribution.
The successful candidate's starting base will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the base range for this role. The OTE will include a competitive base, commission, and bonus structure.
The International Sales Manager (APAC), aggressively manages and pursues international sales opportunities from existing leads and new prospects within the regions of Asia-Pacific (APAC). This position is responsible for executing the sales cycle including, but not limited to, product demonstration, development, and presentation of proposals and quotes, closing of sales, and post-installation follow-up; as well as managing existing and new Distributor and Reseller sales channels.
The International Sales Manager of APAC will be challenged to develop a thorough understanding of your assigned regions, existing customers, distributors, resellers, and industries as well as product offerings and solutions.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science, Rheology, Biorheology, Biotechnology, or a related technical specialty is preferred.
- Ideally having demonstrated knowledge, understanding, and proven leadership for technical selling, marketing, and application development.
- Minimum of at least three (3) years of demonstrated experience in developing and managing international sales, business accounts, and channels.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proven track record as a top sales performer with the ability to “close the deal”.
- Must have a home office where uninterrupted and undistracted work can take place during business hours.
- Ability to remain motivated, and focused, and successfully manage a long sales cycle.
- Ability to exercise judgment in setting work priorities and identifying the next steps.
- Able to quickly adapt to change with positive and constructive feedback.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills and the ability to influence others to accomplish objectives.
- Eagerness to travel to develop potential and existing customers.
- Currently has or can obtain a Passport for International travel and within the EMEA regions.
- Ability to obtain and possess a valid driver’s license, with a clean Motor Vehicle report.
- Able to drive a vehicle for up to 4 – 5 hours at a time and be comfortable with commercial air travel, 40%-50% overnight international travel IS required.
Preferred Candidate Qualifications
- Experience and knowledge of viscometry and, or relevant applications.
- A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of managing distributors in the APAC region.
Job Responsibilities and Expectations

- Responsible for driving international sales growth by developing key partnerships, accounts, and channels in the APAC region.
- Participate in planning and strategy meetings by researching market trends, understanding specific customer needs, and presenting opportunities for customer engagement and penetration of the company’s advanced technology and products into the global markets.
- Manage existing customers and generation of new international sales through strengthening and expanding distribution channels; prospecting, lead generation, follow-up, and collaboration to exceed annual sales goals.
- Manage existing and new Distributor and Reseller sales channels including reviewing and drafting contracts, and achieving agreed sales targets, and KPIs.
- Create, maintain, and manage sales forecasts that meet agreed-upon criteria for product groups.
- Capture, document, and report key sales process activities and customer records using a CRM system.
- Keep current with competitors’ products, service offerings, and activity.
- Expected to travel overseas and dedicate effort, time, and energy to international relationships, as well as other possible periodic domestic travels for meetings and training.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and cross-departmental meetings to ensure collaboration and cohesion.
- Display professionalism, understanding, tact, fairness, and technical knowledge in all customer interactions.
- Organize, coordinate, and participate in exhibitions for trade shows and conferences as required.
- Manage travel planning and expenses, adhering to company travel policies and guidelines.
- May perform other duties as required and or assigned.
