Responsibilities
Essential job tasks include but are not limited to :
- Develop and execute sales plans to meet performance expectations and requirements;
- Prepare sales presentations to create product understanding and awareness;
- Build relationships with key customers to enhance long-term business prospects;
- Assist team to develop a coordinated sales effort while keeping management informed of market conditions
- Support all business activities and direct customer requirements – commercial, engineering, prototype, packaging, quality and production.
- Support the launch of new programs, track prototype and production profitability of components sold.
- Draft letters as appropriate both internally and to customers for the purpose of managing or initiating business.
- Conduct marketing activities / research as appropriate and assemble relevant information for reporting and / or strategic activities.
- Prepare Account Status reports as appropriate for senior management.
- Prepare / assemble information for customer meetings or Senior Management reviews.
- Attend meetings both internally and with customers, as appropriate.
- Be knowledgeable on industry activities as they relate to specific product / customer requirements.
- Operate with “cross-functional” approach and accordingly accept / assume new responsibilities as dictated by business environment.
- Exempt position, not eligible for overtime pay
- Qualifications:
- Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- Computer Skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Minimum Five (5) years of OEM experience and/or Automotive Industry sales experience preferred
- Beneficial Skills and Experience: Familiarity with OEM/Tier 1 purchasing procedures
- Solid understanding of market trends, industry issues, and knowledge of competitors
- Effective interpersonal, communications (written and verbal), and teamwork skill
- Must be legally authorized to work in the USA without company immigration VISA sponsorship
- Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver’s license
- Travel Requirements: Approximately 25%
- Must be willing and available to travel to such locations and with such frequency as is necessary and desirable to meet business needs.
- Ensure timely responses to customer requests by managing internal activities related to new quotation, cost estimation, price negotiation, engineering change requests, etc.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 per year
