Automotive Lot Attendant

Job Description

Wheaton Honda West has an immediate opening for a Full-Time Car Lot Attendant.

Our Lot Attendant plays a critical role in the management of vehicle inventory, merchandising, and presentation of the Sales Department. The Lot Attendant ensures that inventory on the lot is clean and ready for sale. Using intelligence and discretion the Lot Attendant communicates directly with the Sales Managers of any issues or concerns regarding inventory which is prepared for sale. This individual assists in the safe transportation of vehicles as well.

DUTIES

• Maintains cleanliness and order of the new car, used car and north lots, including snow removal.
• Verification of receipts for cars delivered to the dealer.
• Compares serial numbers of incoming cars against invoice.
• Inspects cars to detect damage and to verify presence of accessories listed on invoice. Ex.) spare tires.
• Records description of damages and lists missing items on delivery receipt, and reports these details to the Sales Manager on duty.

• Parking, and re-parking cars in assigned areas.
• Storing keys diligently and appropriately.
• Assist in protection of cars in storage to maintain battery, and finish against deterioration.
• Recleaning inventory units, as required, to ensure vehicles are clean and ready for sale.
• Routinely checks vehicles for low fuel and refills vehicles appropriately.
• Assists with vehicle transport to and from locations about the city such as:
• Our Springbank location
• Other repair facilities as required or directed.

• Always takes due care with all vehicles and reports any and all damage/issues immediately to a manager.
• Making trips to and from the registry to assist with documentation transportation and picking up license plates.
• Making trips to various banks to assist with efficient documentation delivery.

All Other Duties as assigned by the Sales Managers.

Successful Candidate has:

* Valid, clean class 5 driver's license

* Can drive standard transmission

* Friendly and outgoing personality

* Customer service experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.25-$18.00 per hour
