Job Summary
Hankook & Company is seeking a results-driven, self-starter Account Managerto join our team. The Account Manager is responsible for the development and expanding of our existing B2B battery business with assigned accounts within the Automotive Aftermarket. This person will actively execute the account management strategy and support the development of key account relationships. While you will work in a supportive work environment, your ability to motivate yourself to achieve objectives is critical to success in this role. This position is in our Clarksville, TN manufacturing facility.
Responsibilities and Duties (includes but not limited to the following)
- Establish and develop deep partnering relationships with the customers through the development of sales programs, RFP quotes, contracts, and category management.
- Responsible for driving corporate objectives and priorities including increasing the focus on customer and market intelligence, and delivering value added solutions. Create business opportunities by identifying prospects and evaluating their position in the industry.
- Responsible for delivering the company message to key accounts through customer meetings, new product introduction/training, customer events, and trade shows.
- Develop relationships across multiple functions and levels within the accounts. Focus on gaining insight into customer strategy.
- Work with cross-functional teams to secure design validations and approvals for customers.
- Leads demand planning efforts to align customer demand with internal capacity requirements.
- Maintain relationships with customers by providing support, information, and guidance; research and recommend new opportunities; recommend profit and service improvements.
- Identify product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors.
- Prepare relevant reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing competitive market information.
- Reports to Vice President of Sales. Other assignments for support of business and career growth.
Qualifications and Skills

- Can work well independently, and in a team environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically
- Proficient in: Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Education & Experience
- Bachelors' Degree in Business or related field
- Preferential for more than two years of experience in similar positions.
- Track record of success in a similar role in a B2B Sales position
- Three years’ experience, preferably in an automotive manufacturing industry
- Bilingual person, Korean/English (Preferred)
Required Competencies
- Must be proficient in office software, especially Microsoft EXCEL
- Knowledge of ERP System(SAP) preferred.
- Knowledge of general sales process.
- Must be detail oriented and data accuracy.
- Requires a thorough understanding of industry practices, the organization's needs and general business conditions.
- Good Communication Skills.
Work Environment/Physical Demands
Physical demands may include but not limited to the following:
- Must be able to frequently move about the manufacturing plant campus, general office environments, production areas, and ascend/descend stairs and ladders.
- Must be able to navigate throughout inside and outside the facility
- Must be able to effectively operate a computer
- Must be able to occasionally move office equipment and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to wear all required PPE while in production area.
- Must be able to pass a (PFT) Pulmonary Function Test for respirator wear

Travel
- 20% or less travel may be required but will work on-site in Clarksville, TN if not traveling
