WHAT YOU WILL DO:
The Manufacturing Sales Consultant assumes the pivotal role of nurturing and expanding sales within the manufacturing sector. This entails fostering robust relationships with both existing and prospective clientele through a multifaceted approach, including face-to-face interactions, telephonic engagements, and email correspondences. In-person meetings encompass tailored visits to manufacturing facilities, as well as the facilitation of strategic lunch meetings. Additionally, the Sales Consultant orchestrates the procurement and distribution of promotional materials to augment sales efforts.
- The main responsibilities of the Manufacturing Sales Consultant revolve around the ability to network, build relationships, and successfully complete sales for all Link Tool products.
- Emphasize the features of products to highlight how they can assist with solving common customer problems.
- Identify prospective customers, generate sales leads, and convert leads into orders.
- Maintain contact with existing customers to ensure all needs are met.
- Negotiate prices and terms and prepare sales agreements.
- Collaborate with colleagues across multiple departments for the purpose of ensuring our portfolio covers all potential customer needs.
- Build positive customer relationships by maintaining constant and consistent contact.
- Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complies with legal and ethical requirements.
- Travel expectation: 50% of time on road meeting customers.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- Previous experience selling products in a manufacturing environment, specifically machine shops and/or tool and die makers.
- Proficiency in customer service, demonstrating the ability to attentively listen to customer concerns and effectively resolve their needs.
- Exceptional interpersonal aptitude enabling collaboration with diverse individuals, fostering relationships, and expanding networks.
- Demonstrated confidence and self-assurance essential for thriving in cold-calling scenarios and achieving successful sales outcomes.
- Advanced communication skills, particularly in persuasion, to articulate the advantages of products to prospective clientele with clarity and conviction.
- Robust physical endurance, as Sales Representatives may be required to sustain prolonged periods of standing, extensive travel between locations, and the handling of bulky merchandise.
