Hotel Sales Manager
Position Overview
We are seeking a Sales Manager to fulfill the sales efforts at our 98 room extended stay hotel. In this role, you will guide customers through exceptional event experiences, providing tailored solutions to meet their goals and objectives. Your strategic vision will drive revenue growth and enhance customer satisfaction while ensuring your team meets established targets. You will collaborate with hotel personnel to strengthen business relationships and incoming group blocks/LNRs as well as national service accounts.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue Generation
- Establish sales objectives through forecasting and develop comprehensive revenue strategies.
- Maximize opportunities for assigned customers by implementing effective upsell and cross-sell strategies.
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations that showcase the value of our hotel and address customer challenges.
- Attend site visits and planning meetings to ensure an optimal customer event experience.
- Collaborate with vendors and internal departments to successfully capture and service group blocks/LNRs.
Relationship Management
- Cultivate strong relationships with customers and venue personnel to deliver world-class service.
- Research customer history to create personalized experiences and foster loyalty.
- Attend customer meetings to understand their goals and address any concerns.
- Leverage your network to guide customers to additional opportunities within our organization.
Sales Accountability
- Maintain a robust sales pipeline to achieve revenue targets.
- Ensure accurate and timely updates in our systems.
- Lead sales forecasting efforts, ensuring precision and timely submission.
- Train your team on standard operating procedures (SOPs) and new initiatives, ensuring compliance.
- Provide performance reports and forecasts to senior management.
Job Qualifications
- BS/BA preferred; 3+ years of Marriott experience a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of sales experience required.
- Strong understanding of the sales process and ability to interpret financial reports.
- At least 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience.
- Superior communication and presentation skills.
Work Environment
This position is based in an extended stay hotel. Team members are expected to adhere to appearance guidelines set by Marriott.
