As our organization and the community solar sector grows, we've set a target to expand into the central/northern part of NJ by Q2, and we are seeking a Sales Manager, who will play a pivotal role in promoting sustainable energy solutions by leading a team of dedicated sales professionals in subscribing residential customers to local community solar farms.

Community solar is NOT rooftop solar - meaning renters and lower income communities can participate in the transition to a clean energy future. There is no installation, no long term contracts or any fees, no credit checks - just guaranteed savings from local, community solar developments!

You will be at the forefront of the green energy revolution, driving sales, fostering relationships within the community, and contributing to the reduction of carbon footprints.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership: Your primary responsibility will be to lead and inspire a team of sales representatives. You'll provide coaching, mentorship, and motivation to help your team achieve sales targets and maximize their potential.

Community Engagement: Promote the benefits of community solar and other renewable energy programs and educate potential customers about the advantages of each. Lead from the front in sales performance while starting this team.

Recruitment. Training and Development: Conduct second round of interviews, provide initial orientations and help new starts with onboarding and initial training. Conduct daily meetings to provide training and development opportunities to your sales team to enhance their product knowledge, sales skills, and customer engagement abilities.

Customer Satisfaction: Prioritize customer satisfaction by ensuring that sales representatives provide exceptional service, answer inquiries, and resolve issues promptly and professionally.

Sales Performance: Monitor and analyze sales metrics, track individual and team performance, and implement corrective actions as needed. Ensure consistent growth in customer subscriptions.

Reporting: Generate regular reporting on team performance, sales activities, and KPI's to share with upper management.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years sales experience, in an outside residential sales environment, leading teams.
  • Proven experience in sales management, with a track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team to success.
  • Passion for clean energy and a commitment to sustainability.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of the solar, energy industry and/or community solar programs is a plus.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to drive decision-making.
  • Flexibility to adapt to a fast-paced and evolving industry.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, not required; high school diploma and experience required

Support:

Our sales support staff will handle front end recruiting, most of the administrative work, all accounting, provide account management and more. Starting this region, we need this sales leader to maximize their income by conducting sales and leading the initial team in the field that we help hire on.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $600.00 - $3,400.00 per week
