Job Description

Viscofan is the world’s leading producer and distributor of artificial casings for the meat industry, the only one with the main technologies available. Viscofan operates casing manufacturing sites in Spain, Uruguay, Brazil, Mexico, Canada, Belgium, Germany, Serbia, Czech Republic, USA, China and Australia and a commercial network that reaches more than 100 countries.

Territory Sales Manager

Maintain a sales territory that achieves budgeted sales objectives. Develop and maintain working relationships with a broad range of key contacts at assigned customers.

Responsibilities

· Build and maintain a sales territory that ensures budgeted sales objectives are either met or exceeded.

· Increase sales within assigned geographic territory by increasing volume at existing customers, increasing scope of products used at existing customers, contacting and developing new commercial relationship and by transitioning customers using competitors’ products to Viscofan.

· Document and validate Viscofan value added components.

· Resolve customer problems and concerns through proactive personal efforts. Develop effective plans to resolve customer problems by effective utilization of internal resources.

· Collects information on product performance, market trends, and competitive developments. Prepares reports to keep organization informed.

· Maintains knowledge of product profitability and specific product emphasis.

· Collect information for the customer to maintain accurate sale forecast by product for major customer in territory.

· Prioritize sales opportunities in order to achieve the sales growth expected./

· Maintain frequent and effective communication with sales and the service organization to provided clear and accurate instructions, when necessary.

· Will have a direct impact on the impact on the overall business through the achievement of budgeted sales targets.

Qualifications:

· Will require thorough in-depth knowledge of the commercial organization and its capabilities to understand how Viscofan may best serve the interests of its customers. Will require general knowledge of the Company's customers and competitors.

· 5-7 years solid experience working in the meat processing industry. Casing experience a definite plus.

· Undergraduate degree preferred but not required.

· Requires sound practical understanding of the commercial relationships and practices of the sales function.

· Must be an excellent team player who is a self-starter. Incumbent must be highly motivated and be an affirmative advocate for our customers.

· Will have well-developed communication and diplomacy skills to maintain frequent and effective communication with sales and service organization and to provide clear and accurate instructions, when necessary.

Work Environment:

· Incumbent will be required to be in a variety of work environments both internally and at customer’s facilities. Incumbent must follow all safety regulations at all facilities and wear all proper safety equipment.

· Must be able to travel long distances (car or plane). Travel up to 80% of the time. Additionally, must be able to walk in and around customer’s facilities and perform normal office duties

· Normally works during the day. However will work other hours as required by the customer or by commercial management
