Position: Director, Business Development, Hyperscale Cloud Providers (HCP)
City: Plano, TX or Santa Clara, CA
Our exciting opportunity:
Operators globally are beginning to embrace cloud-native & HCP platforms and are collaborating with hyperscalers like Amazon, Microsoft, Google & Meta to capture the 5G Edge and associated use cases for network and infrastructure exposure, orchestration and analytics. HCPs are expanding their cloud platform portfolio to expand beyond public cloud into on-premise and edge cloud offerings serving industry verticals like Telco and low latency applications.
The HCP GCU is at the forefront of our business & collaboration with HCPs globally. We leverage our global strength in managed services to deliver infrastructure, hardware and capacity as a service and cloud engineering offerings with HCPs. We seek opportunities to position Ericsson portfolio offerings such as enterprise/neutral host solution, 5G lab-as-a service, microwave etc. with the HCPs. We work closely with the HCPs and BA to further joint collaborations to expand the 5G ecosystem.
As Director, Business Development for the HCP Global Customer Unit, you will:
- Develop broad and deep relationships with all levels of the HCP customer organization ranging from their Cloud & Infrastructure teams, sourcing organizations etc.
- Work with HCP customers to position our managed services and Ericsson portfolio offerings.
- Work with the HCP GCU team to identify new lines of business with existing HCPs and new targets, and ideate on appropriate operational and financial structures
- Help formulate HCP GCU business strategy by providing insight into HCP business offerings, market trends and competitive mix.
- Work with Ericsson product, portfolio and strategy teams to explore new offerings for the HCP market.
To be successful in the role, you must have a growth mindset and demonstrate:
- Excellent communication skills with ability to work across external and internal organizations
- Proven ability & experience in commercial management, relationship management and business development
- Demonstrate financial and business acumen, with the drive to innovate business and GTM models to drive revenue for GCU HCP
Key Qualifications:
- BS Degree in engineering or business disciplines.
- 10 years of relevant ICT experience including roles in sales and business development.
