Group Sales Manager ( Full Time /Exempt)
Reports To Director of Sales

Position Summary:
Full Time /Exempt Manager Position
Annual Salary - $62,000.00

To ensure that the hotel meets or exceeds its annual sales budget through the proper management of sales efforts.

Job Duties:

  • Participates in the annual planning process for the hotel, with particular focus on the sales forecast.
  • Evaluates the revenue potential of the hotel and participates in the establishment of a sales plan that meets or excess the annual sales forecast.
  • Reviews sales information to discern trends that might influence the success of the property.
  • Participates in local civic and other activities to increase hotel's presence in the community and to obtain prospects.
  • Coordinates sales activities with other relevant departments.
  • Makes personal outside sales calls weekly.
  • Some overnight travel required for Tradeshows and Sales Calls.
  • Develops and creates innovative sales and marketing techniques to increase the department’s sales volume.
  • Designs and recommends sales programs and sets short and long-term sales strategies.
  • Achieve sales and profit goals
  • Ensures proper maintenance of hotel competitive analysis statistical information.
  • May recommend product or service enhancements to improve customer satisfaction and sales potential.
  • Ensures maintenance of filing system on company accounts and preparation of associated sales reports.

Skills and Abilities
:
  • Prospect New Business & Cold Call on potential clients
  • Site Inspections weekly
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and written.
  • Persuade and/or influence others in favor of the Westin product and service.
  • Must be relationship driven and customer service oriented


Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in area of specialty preferred
  • 2-5 years of experience in Hospitality with a minimum of 2+ years in Hospitality
Sales
  • Familiar with Microsoft Outlook, Delphi, Excel, PowerPoint, ISAC & CITY.
  • Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected

Location:
  • 1 work location – Memphis, TN
  • No Remote Work
