Purpose:

The purpose of this job is to successfully manage relationships with TransForce drivers and carriers, and perform the key tasks and steps involved in managing those relationships. The Market Manager is ultimately responsible for the success of the market. This role requires finding ways to grow local accounts and ensure that all drivers who are approved to work are placed in assignments. This role is also responsible for driver growth and retention. The Market Manager is responsible for delivering on regional objectives contributing to the company’s success.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Strategy: Understand and implement ES’s strategic plan to deliver sustainable revenue and profitability growth.

  • Deliver sustainable growth of driver count in branch.
  • Carry out the strategy for best-in-class safety, worker’s compensation performance, and compliance.
  • Carry out the strategy for onboarding and retaining drivers.
  • Carry out the strategy for being the employer of choice for the highest quality drivers in the industry.
  • Responsible for achieving carrier satisfaction by building a trusted relationship with our customers and drivers.
  • Anticipate customer staffing needs before they arise and utilize the available TransForce resources to address those needs.
  • Proactively solicit additional job orders from carriers.
  • Maximize utilization of all approved and available drivers in the market.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Tactical Execution: Lead the operational execution of the strategic plan.

  • Build customer relationships at the local level to support retention of existing business and helping to expand service offering with existing customers. Responsible for managing current customers and reactivating inactive carrier/client relationships in collaboration with sales team.
  • Responsible for coordinating new customer opportunities with the sales team for a successful transition.
  • Collaborate with various team members to design and implement programs to reduce Driver turnover and promote TF as being the employer of choice.
  • Assist with sales by partnering directly with market and region leadership, Sales, and Marketing, and Recruiting Operations teams to promote TransForce in the local market.
  • Keep TF1/Erecruit current with orders, matches, accurate pay and bill rates, customer information.

Collaboration: Jointly own and execute initiatives and goals with peers fostering trust, respect, and willingness to share ideas.

  • Work collaboratively with the Sales team, Regional Recruiting Manager (RRM), Recruiters and Driver Hiring Specialists in the local market to ensure our customer needs are met (in-person, virtually, phone, email, text, etc.).
  • Interact with our candidates to ensure successful matches.
  • Foster peer collaboration and communication to share and adapt best practices.
  • Identify and share innovative ideas which establish programs for the betterment of TF customers and TF performance.

Requirements

Education and Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Work experience may be substituted for education.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • General knowledge of applicable employment and transportation regulations preferred.
  • Experience in account management, operations, logistics, trucking, transportation, customer service, relationship building, sales, and/ or staffing.
  • Requires superior relationship building skills, strong communications, negotiation, analytical and critical thinking skills, and a demonstrated ability to work in a fast based, high-sales volume environment.
  • Proficiencies in Microsoft Office and web-based software, Tech Proficiency.
  • Good interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Good time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation and problem-solving skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $55,000.00 per year
