Description:
- Solicit, negotiate, and generate contracted revenues from prospects aligning with hotel business plan criteria.
- Employ revenue management techniques to propose corporate rate proposals.
- Prepare and present Requests for Proposals to provide value for clients and the hotel.
- Prospect for new contract business using various methods such as phone calls, outside sales calls, community events, internet prospecting, and trade shows.
- Develop, implement, and modify sales action plans.
- Manage an accurate contact management system.
- Negotiate and close contracts meeting hotel business plan objectives.
- Attend daily business review to ensure accurate communication between client and hotel staff.
- Coordinate and participate in target market trade shows and sales blitzes.
- Conduct competitive analysis and maintain competitor files.
- Maintain rapport with local civic groups and companies.

- Perform other related duties as required.

Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Associate degree preferred, Hospitality Management degree preferred or relevant experience.
- 1-2 years prior Sales experience; Hospitality industry experience preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and proof of current vehicle insurance required.
- Reliable transportation for travel to regional locations.
Hours:
Varied schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
- Light work, occasionally exerting up to 40 pounds of force.
- Requires walking or standing to a significant degree.
Physical Activity:
Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, picking/pinching with fingers, typing, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, repetitive motion.
Environmental Conditions:
- General interior office environment.
- Minimum distraction primarily from phones and brief interruptions.
- Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
