Job Description
Growing industrial manufacturer is looking for a Sales Engineer. This position will be great for a recent college graduate with a mechanical or industrial engineering degree. This position will require up to 60% overnight travel. The work involves practical, hands-on engineering/trouble shooting at customer locations.
Duties:
- New Product Launch: Responsible of or customer interaction to determine needs, identify value, engineer new products and install and teach customers in the field on proper setup.
- Hit Team/Field Engineer: .The parts are installed in highly abrasive and dynamic machines; failures occur. It is the job of the Engineer to analyze failed, worn, or new parts and recommend changes for the customer to avoid failure.
- Design: Utilize Solid works to design new parts complete engineering change orders, and perform Analysis. Work with Sales domestic and international on problems, wear patterns, and recommend new specifications.
- Capital Projects: Involved in R&D, plant layout, equipment selection, equipment negotiation and procurement and start-up.
- Manufacturing: Analyze costs, process flows, utilization and recommend and execute improvement projects.
Skills/Experience Desired:
- Mechanical / Industrial Engineer
- Great Communication Skills
- Desire to be in sales position to provide value to the end client,
- 4 year Engineering or technical degree
- Willingness to travel 60%+
- Ability to work in plants with customers and install and troubleshoot equipment
- Passport will be required and Valid Driver License
- Trouble shooting abilities
- Good organizational skills, Project Management
- Ability to use common manufacturing and inspection hand tools
- PC proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Access. Solidworks a plus.
- Bilingual in English / Spanish preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
