Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for supporting the Head of Global Accounts Operational Excellence and Account Managers in day-to-day operational, and management related tasks between the respective Account Manager, Operations teams, Overseas, Accounting, and specified Global Account customers. He/she will provide necessary support to the Account Managers as an enabler for maintenance and management of identified Global Accounts of NNR USA.
Duties & Functions
Essential:
- Assist in management of data for completion of various customer reporting criteria.
- Create SOPs, flight matrixes, work and project flow-charts, implementation GANTT charts, etc.
- Extract information from Global Account customers and disseminate this information in a timely and systematic process locally and worldwide.
- Ensure client KPIs are met through continual monitoring of data and shipments for compliance.
- Responsible for understanding the billing process, charge codes, and coordination of invoicing with local offices and offshore teams, where applicable.
- Maintain close working relationship with overseas staff, including processing of claims, inquiries or other shipment related communication.
- Provide “Root Cause” analysis for service related issues such as missed TPT, damage, loss, theft, airline failures, etc.
- Provide training, if necessary, ensuring that all operations staff have the tools needed for the job.
- Work closely with Account Manager and Heads of Global Accounts in an effort to expand business.
- Responsible for overview of shipment handling procedures, HAWB compliance, charging and invoicing issues.
- Attend meetings/training as required by management.
- Perform other duties as requested by management.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
Education & Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of college.
- Minimum 5 years sales or equivalent industry experience.
- Thorough knowledge of the global freight forwarding industry, air, ocean, and surface.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experienced in analytics, process driven, detail oriented and able to work independently.
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office application software.
Physical requirements:
- Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
- Light/Medium work - Exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally, frequently and/or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
- Overnight travel may be required, including foreign travel.
- Employee must have a valid driver’s license.
