Staff System Software Engineer - Embedded AI & Algorithm

System Software Algorithm engineers at Ambarella research and develop next-generation computer vision algorithms in a wide variety of our future products. We offer a unique opportunity to push the envelope of algorithm design and collaborate across a broad set of disciplines in a small-company environment. Leveraging the capabilities of our hardware and software tool stack, engineers develop fast and accurate deep neural networks that solve complex problems common in intelligent video surveillance camera, autonomous driving, and more general computer vision applications.
Responsibilities
- Develop ML and computer vision algorithms/systems.
- Training and optimization of deep learning/ML based computer vision algorithm for edge devices.
- Validation and performance assessment on large-scale datasets.
Requirements
- Master or PHD Degree in CS/EE
- 5 - 8 years of experience with Edge Devices
- Strong programming skills in Python, C/C++
- Experience with deep learning and its applications to computer vision.
- Experience in developing or using deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, Kera’s, PyTorch, ONNX, etc.)
- Experience in optimization of deep learning/ML algorithms (e.g., Retraining, Quantization, Pruning, etc.)
- Experience in Image Quality Tuning, Image processing algorithm, and Image Processing Pipeline is a plus. Must work in our Santa Clara, CA offices 3 days a week.
The base range is $162,000-$193,000. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to convert to a full-time regular position.
