Role Overview:

The Sales Operations Manager will play a critical role in driving revenue through event sales and streamlining operational systems to enhance efficiency. This role combines sales expertise, operational oversight, and IT management to ensure the seamless execution of events and optimal use of our tools and technology. Additionally, this role involves managing facility operations staff, guiding them to maintain high standards, and ensuring building maintenance is planned, recorded, and executed effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Leadership:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets for weddings, corporate events, and private gatherings.
  • Manage the full sales funnel, from lead generation to closing deals, using CRM platforms like HubSpot and Releventful.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing exceptional customer service throughout the sales process.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to implement promotional campaigns and optimize lead generation.

Operational Excellence:

  • Oversee event planning and execution, ensuring smooth transitions from sales to operations.
  • Create and manage BEOs, timelines, and event logistics to deliver high-quality experiences.
  • Work closely with the culinary and operations teams to align on client expectations and event requirements.

Facility Operations:

  • Oversee operations and provide guidance to facility staff to ensure smooth daily operations and adherence to high standards.
  • Develop and implement building maintenance schedules to ensure facilities remain clean, functional, and safe.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and ensure timely repairs or upgrades as needed.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors for facility-related projects.

Technology & Systems Management:

  • Manage and optimize the use of POS, CRM, and event management systems to streamline processes.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and coordinate with IT vendors for system updates or repairs.
  • Train team members on the effective use of operational tools and technology.

Team Leadership:

  • Supervise a small team of sales, operations, and facility staff, providing mentorship and fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and implement training programs to enhance team skills.

Reporting & Analysis:

  • Track and analyze sales and operational performance metrics to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Provide regular reports to the Head of Business Development and Marketing on sales trends, revenue forecasts, and operational efficiency.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve conversion rates and client retention.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Event Management, Facilities Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in event sales, sales operations, or facility management.
  • Proficiency in CRM platforms (HubSpot, Releventful) and POS systems.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and organizational abilities.
  • Technical proficiency to manage IT systems and troubleshoot basic issues.
  • Knowledge of building maintenance practices and scheduling.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00-$80,000.00 per year

Additional pay:

  • Commission pay

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
