Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Senior Sales Director to lead our sales team and drive revenue growth for our organization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in sales management, people management, strategic planning, and a proven track record of exceeding sales targets. The Senior Sales Director will be responsible for developing, implementing, and executing an effective sales strategy, managing the sales team, and fostering a high-performance sales culture.
Responsibilities:
- Builds a world-class sales team.
- Develops and implements a sales channel strategy.
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
- Analyze market trends and customer needs to identify new business opportunities.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align sales strategies with overall business objectives.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of the sales team.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute effective lead generation and customer retention strategies.
- Prepare and present regular sales forecasts, reports, and insights to senior management.
- Utilize CRM tools and other technology to track and analyze sales activities.
- Directs, develops, and implements strategies in assigned area of responsibility to grow company revenue in accordance with organization goals and objectives.
- Coordinate business needs with operational leadership to maximize results.
- Lead and grow internal sales, and customer service teams.
- Reviews the market position of competing products, services, and organizations and evaluates their marketing and sales techniques.
- Develops contract strategy and negotiates contracts in accordance with company standards and business requirements.
- Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs, volume potential, price schedules and discount rates, and develops sales campaigns.
- Establishes distributor and key/national account relationships and ensures they are managed properly.
- Oversees and approves budget planning and sales forecasting and prepares other reports for management as requested.
- Works in conjunction with and ensures support for sales administration, product development, marketing communications, research, and innovation.
- Recommend and implement continuous improvements in sales processes and strategies.
- Foster a collaborative and motivated sales culture that encourages teamwork and individual success.
Qualifications:
- 15+ years in the polymer industry, Chemical Manufacturing industry or related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
- Proven experience in sales leadership with a successful track record of meeting or exceeding sales target.
- Proven record of developing and building world-class commercial teams.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and lead a high-performing sales team.
- Familiarity with CRM software and other sales technology tools.
- Working experience with SAL a plus, ability to develop dashboards using SAP or BI type software desired.
