VISTA FORD LINCOLN in Woodland Hills


We are looking for top sales people that enjoying connecting with people and want to maximize their income. We are adding 8 sales people and want to bring people on ASAP. We have an excellent pay plan, we pay commission, plus unit bonuses for monthly goals and additional ones for yearly production. We also offer monthly spiffs and longevity bonuses and we pride our selves on having a good time while we work. Benefits and 401k can kick in after 90 days. Don't be mistaken, this requires work and people that are highly motivated and looking for a career. We are looking for employees that want to grow in the company, not just someone looking for a job.


GENERAL


The Salesperson's job is to present vehicles available for sale to prospective customers by offering accurate information regarding the vehicle and answering any questions the customer may have. The Salesperson is expected to have excellent communication and negotiation skills and a professional appearance. The Salesperson will be expected to provide test drives to prospective customers and therefore, a valid driver license and insurability is required for this position.


PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS


  • Consistently meet minimum sales quota of seven (10) units per month;
  • Organizers must be updated daily and no more than 3 days overdue at any time (unless on an excused absence);
  • Compli should be reviewed and updated on a regular basis and no more than ten (10) days overdue;
  • Manufacturer Certifications up to date at all times (Employee's responsibility to keep track and maintain);
  • Sales License current and up to date at all times;
  • Driver License current and update to date at all times (Notify HR immediately of any traffic violations that may affect this);
  • Check e-mail regularly; at least once daily.
  • Regular and punctual attendance;
  • Professional appearance and grooming;
  • Business Cards: Cell phone numbers on business cards


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB


Essential Duties include meeting performance expectations above as well as the following. Other duties may be assigned.


Approaches, greets, and offers assistance or direction to any customer who enters the dealership showroom or sales lot.

Assists customers in selecting a vehicle by asking questions and listening carefully to their responses.

Explains fully product performance, application, and benefits to prospects.

Describes all optional equipment available for customer purchase.

Offers test drives to all prospects. Follows dealership procedure to obtain proper identification from customer prior to test drive.

Utilizes dealership sales control and follow-up system.

Exhibits high level of commitment to customer satisfaction.

Knows and understands the federal, state, and local laws which govern retail automobile sales.

Establishes personal income goals that are consistent with dealership standards of productivity, and devises a strategy to meet those goals.

Attends product and sales training courses as requested by sales manager.

Keeps abreast of new products, features, accessories, etc., and their benefits to customers.

Knows and understands equity and values, and is able to explain depreciation to the customer.

Ensures that the sales manager has an opportunity to meet each customer.

Turns 100 percent of closed deals to finance manager, along with properly completed paperwork (insurance information, trade title, etc.).

Writes complete sales orders and processes paperwork in accordance with established dealership policies.

Prepares sold vehicles for customer delivery prior to customer arrival.

Delivers vehicles to customers, ensuring that the customer understands the vehicle's operating features, warranty, and paperwork.

Introduces customers to service department personnel to emphasize to them the quality and efficiency of service repairs and maintenance available in the dealership's service department.

Schedules first service appointment.

Follows up on all post delivery items, tag/title work, "we-owes", and special requests to be sure that all customer expectations are met.


Maintains an owner follow-up system that encourages repeat and referral business and contributes to customer satisfaction.

Maintains a prospect development system.

Reviews and analyzes actions at the end of each day, week, month, and year to determine how to better utilize time and plans more effectively.

Attends sales meetings.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Prior sales experience in any industry preferred, but not required;
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.


LANGUAGE/COMMUNICATION SKILLS

  • Ability to effectively communicate with customers, supervisor and co-workers through a variety of channels including, verbal, telephone, text message and e-mail communications;
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers, and the general public.


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.


REASONING ABILITY

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to solve practical problems.

Valid Driver's License


PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

The physical demands and work environment are consistent with those of a salesperson in a retail automotive industry including, but not limited to, driving vehicles regularly, getting in and out of vehicles, standing and walking, indoors and outdoors for extended periods of time, sitting for extended periods of time, using the telephone and computer, and other physical demands associates with illustrating the features of a vehicle to a prospective customer or customer. These physical demands and work environment are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
