Strategic Account Executive

As a Strategic Account Executive, you will be an important member of the sales organization, responsible for selling our SaaS solutions to large behavioral health providers across the United States. To be successful, you will build relationships with senior executives at mental health facilities and organizations of providers; create pipeline in these organizations and position Valant with these decision makers as the solution that will enable them to grow and better serve their patients and providers.
The ideal candidate has spent time (5+ years) in the healthcare industry selling SaaS solutions to senior executives and understands the complexity of providing care, working with insurance companies and using outcome based metrics to measure patient progress and provider effectiveness.
What You’ll Do
- Be a driving force in the success of the company’s goals and objectives through achieving your individual sales quota
- Engage with potential behavioral and mental health provider executives to understand their business needs and identify opportunities for Valant’s solutions
- Build and manage a sales pipeline through prospecting and needs assessments efforts and inbound lead follow up
- Develop and deliver customized sales presentations and product demonstrations, by phone/ web-demo and in person
- Develop and negotiate proposals and contracts
- Accurately forecast sales activity and revenue achievement through proper use of sales tools
- Use sales enablement tools like Salesforce to ensure implementation, support, finance and marketing teams have accurate client information to promote a seamless hand off across teams

- Become a subject matter expert in Behavioral Healthcare trends/needs/pain points for the past, present and future. Master the field including but not limited to understanding competitive landscape, golden standard processes/workflows, and general vocabulary/diction/language that relates and appeals to key strategic stakeholder.
- Possess high energy and a strong desire to achieve results
- Demonstrate empathy in customer’s business challenges and interest in helping them achieve their practice goals

- Strong written and oral communication skills
Preferred
- Experience with Salesforce, Gong and Salesloft/Outreach
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and success
- 5+ years’ experience successfully selling SaaS solutions to senior executives at healthcare providers
- Demonstrable track record of consistently achieving and exceeding quota; high activity volume and passion for healthcare improvements

- Salary Range for this position is $110,000-120,000

This position can be 100% remote, but employees must be located in: California, Florida, Georgia, Minnesota, New Jersey, North Carolina, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, or Washington state.
