Job Description

Job Title: Client Services Director

Position located in: Williamsburg, VA or Wilmington, NC

Local Daily Media is looking for a hardworking, team focused, Client Services Director to lead the efforts of the Client Services team in multiple markets, while collaborating with the Sales team to ensure revenue goals are met.

To be successful in this role you should be super organized, detail-oriented, a team-player, able to apply critical thinking across all situations, knowledgeable of both sales techniques and technology, comfortable working with limited supervision, have a good grasp of accounting principles, and a willingness to be flexible and take on new challenges.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Direct management of the Virginia and Wilmington Client Services team members, to include Client Services Managers and Business/Traffic Managers. Set department standards and motivate team members to Super Serve both clients and Sales team colleagues. Lead team meetings to discuss any process issues, identify areas for improvement, and celebrate CS successes. Hire and train new Client Services team members as needed.
  • Active involvement in the sales process including but not limited to participation in internal sales meetings, current contract review, and budget goal discussions. Work with VP of Sales to strategize daily, weekly and monthly sales department focus.

Qualities & Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years Customer Service/Inside Sales experience required, with at least 2 years supervisory experience.
  • Understanding of the correlation between sales growth and outstanding customer service
  • Must have a strong attention to detail, the ability to shift gears throughout the day to complete a variety of different tasks, and stay calm under pressure.
  • The ability to work in a fast paced environment with limited and/or remote supervision.
  • An understanding that in a small business no task is beneath anyone - we all work hard, and we only succeed together as a team
  • Proficient in Google and Microsoft Applications and the ability to learn new software programs (Wedel, Canva, Wordpress, Facebook Business Manager, MailChimp)
  • While this position is 40 hours a week, mostly inside of normal business hours, there is an expectation of flexible hours, including occasional nights, weekends and holidays, as needed
  • The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is willing to take ownership of problems and proactively looks for ways to improve overall systems and processes to better serve our clients and sales teams.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $48,000.00 - $58,000.00 per year
