A building materials supplier in Wichita, Kansas is seeking an Account Manager to oversee a portfolio of multiple accounts, focusing on managing existing relationships and driving growth through new sales opportunities. This role involves handling both active and warm accounts, working closely with industry professionals like architects and construction companies to build strong partnerships. Account Manager Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of multiple accounts, focusing on both active and warm leads
- Proactively follow up with clients to drive purchases, increase satisfaction, and build relationships
- Develop and execute strategies to boost account activity and generate new sales opportunities
- Attend industry events to connect with leads and enhance industry partnerships
- Establish strong relationships with general contractors, architects, and construction professionals
- Conduct face-to-face meetings with clients to understand needs, offer solutions, and ensure repeat business
- Track sales progress, report on account performance, and forecast with tools like Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Serve as the main point of contact for client inquiries and product information
- Work closely with senior sales staff and operations managers to ensure seamless customer service
- Participate in training and shadowing as needed
Account Manager Requirements:
- 4-5 years in sales
- High school diploma
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with ERP systems
- People-oriented with a friendly, reliable, and motivated personality
- Sales-driven, personable, and adaptable to a vibrant, family-oriented work environment
