Hardwood Sales Associate

Maley & Wertz is a family-owned sawmill and kiln drying operation located in Evansville, Indiana. We are currently seeking a candidate to fill an open position with our sales team as a sales associate.

Position Qualifications

Bachelors degree
Excellent communication, problem solving and presentation skills
Desire to work in a customer-centric sales role
Ability to upsell
Excellent customer service skills and strong telephone presence
Good organizational and time management skills
Good computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite a plus)
Sense of urgency
Positive, proactive and energetic attitude
Team player who works productively with wide range of people
Problem-solving and analytical ability

Duties will include, but not be limited to the following:

While working closely with senior sales representatives and direct Sales Manager:

Actively manage and grow a dedicated sales territory that includes a pre-existing customer base
Understand each customers needs to provide real, effective solutions
Deliver exceptional service
Generate detailed, professional quotes
Develop leads and prospect new business opportunities using a variety of sources
Process orders in a timely manner and exhibit thorough follow-up
Work to continually advance and improve knowledge of product and industry trends
