FOODSERVICE BID ACCOUNT MANAGER

Foodservice Account Manager is a professional responsible for managing client accounts and relationships within the foodservice industry. Their primary goal is to ensure client satisfaction, drive sales, and maximize revenue opportunities for the company they represent. Here's an overview of their typical responsibilities:

1. Customer Service : Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, including schools, government and other foodservice establishments. This involves regular communication, understanding client needs, and providing personalized service.

2. Account Planning and Strategy: Developing strategic account plans to identify opportunities for growth within existing client accounts. This may involve conducting market research, analyzing client data, and identifying areas where additional products or services can be offered.

3. Sales and Business Development: Actively pursuing sales opportunities to expand the company's footprint within existing client accounts. This includes upselling or cross-selling additional products or services, negotiating contracts, and closing deals.

4. Product Knowledge and Education: Staying informed about the company's products, services, and industry trends to effectively educate clients and address their needs. This may involve conducting product demonstrations, training sessions, and presentations.

5. Order Management: Overseeing the order process from initiation to fulfillment, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in delivery. This may involve coordinating with internal teams such as logistics, supply chain, and customer service.

6. Problem Resolution: Serving as the primary point of contact for clients and addressing any issues or concerns they may have in a timely and effective manner. This requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate with internal teams to find solutions.

7. Forecasting and Reporting: Analyzing sales data and trends to forecast future demand and track performance against targets. This information is used to inform business decisions and develop strategies for growth.

8. Compliance and Regulations: Ensuring that all sales and account management activities comply with industry regulations and company policies.

9. Networking and Industry Engagement: Actively participating in industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to stay connected with clients, identify new leads, and stay abreast of industry developments.

10. Cost Analysis and Pricing Strategy: Conducting cost analysis to determine pricing strategies that are competitive yet profitable, taking into account factors such as food costs, labor, overhead, and profit margins.

11. Negotiation: Negotiating contract terms and conditions with clients to secure favorable agreements that meet the needs of both parties.

Schedule

  • Monday - Friday
  • 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM

Qualifications

  • 3 - 5 years of food industry experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Computer proficient
  • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Data Entry experience

Pay & Benefits

  • Salary: $45,000 - $50,000
  • Paid time off
