We are currently searching for tenacious and highly experienced Sales Associates with a robust background and knowledge deeply rooted in the construction industry, to build our Sales Powerhouse Team!
Our goal is to align your expertise with our company’s sales strategies and market needs. By ensuring each sales representative is positioned for success, we have designed a specialized onboarding, and an industry exclusive training program aimed at highlighting your unique skill sets and expertise to identify best divisional fit, within our sales department.
This is a remote/hybrid position. The successful candidates reside in the Durham Region / Greater Toronto Area, for easy access to client meetings, industry trade shows and conferences and networking events.
Successful candidates must periodically attend headquarters in Minden for occasional sales meetings as well as Quantum’s monthly communications meeting. (All accommodations and expenses are paid) A reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license is mandatory.
Responsibilities:
· Sell and promote Quantum’s building solutions to Residential, Multi-Residential, Commercial, and Retro-fit projects.
· Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research and prospecting.
· Discover and identify new points of competitor differentiation to optimize and leverage Quantum’s unique position in the market.
· Educate clients about the benefits of high performance and airtight construction while providing information about Passive house principles, sustainable practices and panelization.
· Prospecting with new clients to understand their specific needs, budgets, and project goals while addressing inquiries and requirements.
· Prepare customized proposals and project estimates based on client requirements and pursue and participate in competitive online bidding and tender submissions.
· Manage client expectations through the various phases of the sales, design, budgeting, and construction phases.
· Collaborate and communicate with design and construction teams to ensure client requirements are seamlessly integrated into the project’s plan.
· Track and report on sales activities, including leads generated and pipeline status.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients through regular communication and account management.
· Perform competitive market analysis and provide pricing and incentive recommendations to management.
· Stay up to date with industry trends and competitor activities to identify market opportunities and support various marketing initiatives
· Support and assist the sales department with new sales initiatives such as retrofit and pre-designed model homes.
· Establish yourself as the face of Quantum Passivhaus, attending industry trade shows, conferences, marketing and networking events.
Qualifications:
Education:
BA Marketing or Commerce preferred or will consider an equivalent level of work experience
Our Ideal candidate will have:
Working knowledge and understanding of project management, supply chains, client relations, and technical knowledge of construction materials and prefab methods.
Mandatory:
- A valid Canadian Work Permit is mandatory
- Must be a highly motivated, outgoing and a confident hunter.
- 5- 10+ years of proven sales experience – ideally in construction or related experience in construction bidding would be a great asset.
- Good understanding or awareness of capitalizing on Government and Non-Government (NGO) processes.
- Previous remote/hybrid work experience and possess excellent time management and productivity skills
- Understanding of project management, supply chains, client relations, and technical knowledge of construction materials and prefab methods.
Required/Preferred:
- Knowledge of Passive House principles and industry, high performance buildings, RFP’s and retrofit net zero construction and/or panelization
- Experience developing strong, respectful and engaging relationships with Indigenous partners and communities.
- Willing to learn and participate in Passive House Certification Training.
- Positive energy, people person who enjoys networking, public speaking, attending trade shows and conferences
- Resides within Durham Region / GTA, willing to travel

4. Compensation and Benefits: We offer a competitive salary package, with a base pay range of $65,000-$75,000. Also included is a lucrative compensation and commission package, including a comprehensive benefit plan, paid travel expenses, and attractive performance bonus initiatives.
