At Brown Bottling Group, our high-performing sales team is the engine that drives customer satisfaction. To achieve the same on a particular geographical level, we are on the lookout for an Area Sales Manager. We are looking for someone who can easily adapt to a new environment, and who has a successful track record of closing sales. The ability to inspire and motivate is a must, as an area sales manager will be mentoring a team of sales reps to achieve sales targets. The role of an area sales manager involves proficiency in an assortment of skills including building an efficient and productive team, communication, negotiation and problem-solving. The Sales Manager is responsible for leading and guiding the sales team to achieve sales targets, develop new business, and ensure the company's growth and success in the market. This role involves strategic planning, managing people, selling, leveraging technology, and improving processes.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Work in close collaboration with the sales team and senior sales managers
- Guide a team of area sales representatives to meet the sales targets set by the company
- Provide the right training to the sales team by acting as a training sales manager
- Foster a strong relationship with existing and potential clients, and resolve any customer queries that come by
- Utilize different modes and channels of communication to reach the target audience effectively
- Monitor the performance of the area sales reps and tweak the sales strategies to achieve sales targets
Physical Demands:
- Able to lift up to 30 lbs. continuously and 60 lbs. intermittently.
- Drive company vehicle and move through customers locations.
- Must be able to bend, stoop and climb on a frequent basis.
- Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time.
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of sales experience
- At least 5years of management/supervisory experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient with MS office programs
- Valid drivers license with acceptable driving record
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
