We are seeking a Territory Manager to work in Denver, Colorado.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Develop and strengthen relationships with regional buyers, major store chain buyers, independent and Co-Op buyers, and store staff.

2. Develop positive and trusting relationships with all principals.

3. Be an expert in the lines YYN represents in respective region.

4. Be proactive in supporting retailers, distributors and principals with resets (will require early morning/overnights), store openings, trade shows.

5. Be proactive in recommending ways to increase sales for principals.

6. Be aware of and report on efforts by competitors of our principals: new items, new pricing, new packaging, etc.

7. Collaborate with regional leadership team to generate ideas for growing our principals’ business and make suggestions for improvement.

8. Collaborate with regional leadership team to think of ways to continuously improve ourselves, our service to our principals, and the well-being of our team.

MEASURABLE OBJECTIVES

1. HQ & Account Management: Present and receive buyer approval for new lines/skus for all accounts (including chain and independent stores) for brands.

2. Proactive & Regular Communication: Ongoing and timely communication with YYN team and principals. Prioritize responding to principals within 24 hours.

3. Field Performance:

  • Visit all stores on the frequency and cadence agreed upon with your supervisor (customized by territory). Work to improve placement of products: eye level, multiple facings, end cap, multiple locations.
  • Prioritizing top brands, new items, promotional execution, but touching all brands during each visit.
  • Help store buyers restock shelves during store visits.
  • Ensure out-of-stock SKUs are reordered immediately (via turnover or scanning sell sheets) when available.
  • Report to YYN team and principals with before/after pics from each store visit.

4. Account Promotional Management: Demonstrate and maintain a strong knowledge of promotional guidelines and processes of your retailers. Maintain key retailer APLs and Promotional Grids, and take the lead on creating promotional plans for principals during annual promotional planning and for new account presentations.

5. Submit schedules and update Market Overviews minimum weekly.

6. Consistently completes administrative follow ups for your retailers (New Item Forms, turnover orders, etc).

7. Identify and develop new market opportunities.

8. Regular check-ins referencing OKR’s and discuss successes, challenges, and brainstorm opportunities with supervisor.

9. Uphold Yin Yang Naturals social and environmental values, including prioritizing 40 hours of volunteer work per year, buying local whenever possible, and being environmentally conscious in home office setup and travel decisions in the field.

  • Ability to achieve results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient with technology and capable of learning new skills quickly.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have a working, fully insured vehicle and be able to travel independently.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. independently and crouch or kneel for prolonged periods of time.
  • Must be able to ascend or descend ladders, stairs, and ramps.
  • May require prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

COVERAGE AREA

  • Primary coverage area will be Denver and surrounding areas. Quarterly visits to Southern Colorado and New Mexico. Key accounts to include: NGVC HQ, WFM Rocky Mountains HQ, Rocky Mountain ION Group HQ, Lucky’s HQ, AFS HQ, as well as store level support at WFM, NGVC, and various Indies.

REPORTING STRUCTURE

  • SoPac + Rocky Mountain Regional Manager.

SALARY RANGE FOR POSITION

  • $55,000-$70,400, depending on experience.

Requirements:

  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently (reliable transportation required)

  • Excellent time-management skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Interest in organic food and products
  • College degree preferred
