Five Star Equipment, Northern PA and New York States John DeereLarge Construction EquipmentDealer has an immediate opening in our Orchard Park (Buffalo, NY) location.
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES may include, but are not limited to:
- Handles all rental activities for two locations (Orchard Park, NY and Waterford, PA).
- Assists the Sales Manager and the TSMs in implementing rental strategies for new and used equipment and rentals to current and new customers.
- Ensures all wholegoods rental billings are invoiced timely, accurately and in accordance with company policies.
- Works with the Corporate Asset Manager to ensure adequate levels of wholegoods inventories at the branch and proper control, tracking and accounting for such inventories.
- Answers phones, coordinates prospective rental efforts, and updates Sales Manager on all statuses.
- Answers questions about equipment rentals, rates, terms, scheduling, etc. Shows, demonstrates, or rents machines.
- Assists sales team and customers with rental inquiries, including finding and obtaining quotes in a timely manner.
- Tracks and maintains current Certificates of Insurance for rented equipment.
- Monitors customer rental accounts for timely payment/delinquency.
- Responsible for physical check-in/checkout of equipment and attachments to customers and branch locations.
- Responsible for weekly reporting of current rental equipment to Sales Manager and Sales team.
- Daily reporting of Shipping & Receiving activity.
- Coordinate transportation arrangements by and between store transfers and with end-user customers for rentals with documentation creation of quotations requiring accounting for and approval of such document.
- Promotes a safe branch culture. Ensures a clean and organized work environment. Corrects instances of unsafe behavior & practices and carelessness.
- Presents a clean and professional appearance when representing the company.
- Coordinates equipment moves and Service maintenance whether using outside companies or company resources.
- Participates in classroom or on-line company or John Deere training as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of large construction equipment and rental business.
- 3-5 years’ experience in a highly competitive Sales and Rental operational role.
- Ability to prospect and cultivate new accounts.
- Strong organizational skills to manage leads, customer information, and sales records effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with customers.
- Ability to use software applications such as the CDK business system (e.g., CRM & Prospect Board), Microsoft Office, Excell and Internet functions.
- Good influencing skills and economically motivated.
- Ability to operate and demonstrate working features of heavy equipment being sold or rented.
- Must have a valid driver’s license for travel.
