Position Overview:

The Sales Support Specialist plays a critical role in keeping leads engaged with OC Solar by providing timely follow-up and sharing detailed information about our industry-leading solar solutions. We’re looking for a personable, dynamic individual with excellent phone skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You’ll be responsible for making high volumes of outbound calls, gathering essential customer information, and supporting the sales team in closing deals. This position offers an hourly base pay plus commission on every deal closed by the sales team that you assist, offering significant earning potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Make a high volume of outbound calls to prospective customers, providing them with relevant information and maintaining their engagement with OC Solar.
  • Proactively follow up on proposals and inquiries to guide leads through the sales process and ensure a smooth customer experience.
  • Gather and record critical customer information in the CRM, ensuring data accuracy and providing detailed notes to support the sales team's efforts in closing deals.
  • Seamlessly transfer qualified, engaged leads to the Sales Manager, facilitating a smooth transition for closing.
  • Maintain up-to-date records in the CRM system, tracking lead status, communications, and next steps.
  • Stay agile and responsive in a fast-paced environment, adapting to shifting priorities and customer needs.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales team to ensure continuous follow-up and progress on all sales opportunities.
  • Prepare proposals, contracts, and other sales-related documentation as needed, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Deliver excellent customer service by being proactive, professional, and approachable at all times.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred).
  • in the solar or renewable energy industry is a strong advantage but not required).
  • Strong proficiency with CRM systems (experience with Salesforce or similar platforms preferred).
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport quickly over the phone and maintain customer engagement.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, adapting to changing priorities with ease.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Team player with a positive, solution-focused attitude and a customer-first mindset.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently when necessary and stay proactive in driving results.

Compensation:

  • Competitive hourly base rate
  • Commission on all deals closed by the sales team that you have supported

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.22 - $24.34 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
