The Magnolia – St. Louis is seeking a visionary Director of Sales to lead our sales and marketing initiatives, elevate our brand, and deliver unmatched guest experiences. Responsibilities:- Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing sales and marketing team to exceed revenue goals.
- Recruit and develop sales talent with strong industry networks and established client relationships.
- Foster a collaborative team culture rooted in integrity, innovation, and guest satisfaction.
- Drive revenue growth in the group and corporate travel segments by establishing competitive market positioning and sustainable sales strategies.
- Build and maintain relationships with key clients, including meeting planners, corporate customers, and community stakeholders.
- Work with marketing team and Revenue Manager to create and implement targeted marketing and sales tactics to achieve long-term business goals.
- Develop and execute comprehensive strategies for revenue generation, marketing, e-commerce, and public relations.
- Leverage financial and quantitative data to establish realistic budgets and achieve measurable results.
- Collaborate with ownership and leadership to align sales initiatives with organizational goals.
- Serve as the face of the Magnolia Hotel brand, cultivating strong community connections and fostering meaningful partnerships.
- Work with marketing team to create public relations campaigns, including website content, electronic media, and social media strategies, to enhance brand visibility.
- Represent the hotel in key industry and community organizations to strengthen brand positioning.
- Maintain and update systems for tracking and evaluating sales and marketing performance.
- Work with Revenue Manager on online distribution channels for both group and leisure segments.
- Provide regular reports and presentations to ownership, showcasing progress toward revenue and marketing goals.
- Experienced with at least 7 years of hotel sales experience or the equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Strong background in group sales, leisure travel, and community engagement.
- Proven experience in sales leadership within the hospitality industry, preferably in boutique or luxury properties. Marriott experience a plus.
- A dynamic, enthusiastic, and creative leader who thrives under pressure and can perform multiple functions and troubleshoot when needed.
- Expertise in data-driven decision-making, budgeting, and strategic planning.
- Knowledge of current trends in sales, marketing, and e-commerce for the hospitality industry.
- Knowledge of or experience in the local market, preferred.

Pay range: $100,000 - 115,000/yr. + 30% bonus
