Job Description:

This role requires deep technical knowledge of Azure Stack HCI, hyper-converged infrastructure, and related Microsoft technologies. The ideal candidate will have experience with a variety of Microsoft technologies, including Windows Server, Hyper-V, and have experience with HCI architecture and design tools and technologies, as well as with Azure Stack HCI troubleshooting and problem resolution.

Responsibilities:

Contribute to the development of cloud and virtualization strategies, while facilitating design discussion around proposed architecture.

Be responsible for serving as a project lead, including excellent documentation, oral and presentation skills.

Lead the assessment, design and implementation of Azure / Azure Stack HCI environments.

Serve as the primary escalation point for complex issues related to Azure / Azure Stack HCI environments, conducting root cause analysis, implementing corrective actions, and delivering continuous support to uphold the stability and performance of these environments.

In-Depth knowledge of Hyper-V Design architecture, Design, and maintenance, while recommending and instituting optimizations to the Hyper-V virtualization environment

Interpreting Hyper-V performance trends for capacity planning purposes.

Ability to setup hardware monitoring and Alerting

Evaluation of new tools and methodologies to better manage the virtualization infrastructure.

Ability to follow and do Creation, Documentation and Deployment of Baselines

Experience:

· 5+ Years' experience implementing and supporting Microsoft cloud services

· 2 Years' experience with Microsoft Hyper-V, PowerShell, and Virtual Networking,

· Experience as an Azure Admin working with: Azure AD, Azure Update Management, and Migrating workloads into Azure or Azure Stack HCI environments

· Knowledge of design or implementation of on-premises Private Clouds using Azure Stack HCI

· Advanced knowledge of performing architecture reviews of re-platforming VMware to Azure Stack HCI

· Microsoft certifications preferred - Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104), Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-303 and Z-304, or AZ305)

· Experience with Windows Server 2022, 2019, 2016, and 2012 \ Active Directory 2012R2, 2016 and 2019.

· Extensive experience with Hyper-V and SCVMM.

· Solid understanding of Hyper-V performance analysis tools and methods.

· Hands on experience tuning Hyper-V for a data center environment

· Experience developing policies, procedures, and standards pertaining to the Hyper-V infrastructures.

· Experience creating technical and process documentation.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills.

· Ability to convert concepts and technical aspects into easy to understand/follow processes.
