Sales Account Manager
This is an onsite, in-person position located at: 3600 Discovery Drive, Chester, VA 23836
Sales Group
Identifies and establishes relationships with new customers and/or manages and builds relationships with existing customers. Provides internal and external technical and/or customer support in the development and application of products, processing techniques and resolution of problems.
This is a salary-paid position with an annual targeted bonus. This position is not commission-based.
This position is located onsite in Chester, Virginia and will be working closely with the team of other sales representatives, as well as various technical specialists within the organization.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- Degree preferably in Engineering or a technical field, but open to other types of bachelor’s degrees (or higher).
- Must be willing and able to travel domestically 25% - 50% of the time (within the U.S.A.)
- Must be willing and able to work onsite, Monday – Friday, in Chester, VA when not traveling.
- Has the ability to understand a customer’s requirements and translate those requirements to products.
- Previous experience with a packaging industry is a plus.
- Previous experience with a manufacturing industry is a plus.
- Previous experience with technical sales is a plus.
Sales
Maximizes revenues from sales of the organization's products and/or services either through direct sales or through a base of reseller partners such as dealers, systems integrators, value-added resellers, distributors, or retailers. Administers sales policies and programs to meet sales and profit goals. May identify and establish relationships with new customers. May locate, evaluate and recruit potential channel partners. Supports partners throughout the sales process in all sales-oriented activities, such as marketing, advertising, sales promotions, and training, to achieve revenue targets.
Responsibilities Include:
- Requires conceptual and practical knowledge in own job discipline and developing knowledge of related job disciplines.
- Has the ability to understand and influence.
- Impacts a range of customer, operational, project or service activities within own team.
- Begins to work independently with minimal to moderate guidance.
- Analyzes potential solutions to problems (with or without vague/unstructured aspects) using experience, judgment, and precedents.
- Work requires judgment and consideration of future implications beyond the immediate problem.
- Customer-focused. Work to determine key drivers to delighting customers, growing relationships and revenue
- Works to find resolution for both new opportunities and issues.
- Will be responsible for sales forecast within their territory.
- Will work cross functionally with different disciplines.
